I was surprised how deep the resonancenis with this instrument VERY pleased with the low frequency projection. I bought a harness and a stand to maximize the depth of sound. The membrane is plastic mit doesn't feel as responsive as a skin. All in all, I bought it for price, and love the sound - not the feel.

It doesn't sound amazing, but it's a decent sound and it's virtually indestructible. I'm going to get the Latin Percussion City Series Conga Set but this will be a great drum just for a quick jam or for guests, etc.
