I stripped the threads on my oil pan of my brand new Suzuki King Quad 750. I tried everything for weeks! Tapping a slightly larger plug into the hole, different washers etc... I was starting to get the feeling that I would never be able to fix the leak. I had read up on Helicoils and Timeserts on numerous forums. Timeserts got high praise and now I see why. The process was fairly easy to install the Timesert and guess what no more leak!! When I first screwed in the drain plug it even felt more snug than before. Now I have a permanent fix and don't have to worry about stripping out the threads on the pan. Yes, I bought a torque wrench! :)
