Most other kits include a tap handle which is essential. On the kit photos it is unclear whether it is included or not. Instructions speak nothing of having to use your own tap turning handle. I. Addition, the instruction doesn’t explain what the Allen key is for and to use it to adjust your depth marker. Very confusing, if you expected to be able to touch and go. You’ll need your own tap turning handle. I ended up buying a universal one at Ace Hardware for $20. More than I planned on spending on this project in total.

I received the order on time and the kit was exactly what i needed. It was easy to use and appear to be a good repair.I just did my repair so only time will tell how it holds up.

Good news and bad news, the good news is the helicoils, the drill bit, and the tap all are fine and worked well. The other tools to install the Helicoil and to knock the spline out are very cheap and broke almost immediately.

OK for soft metals, but not for harder metals like steel. Drill broke, tap broke.
