Did not work at Tesla destination chargers (not super charger). It may work at home chargers, but the ones at hotels and elsewhere did not work. I tried at multiple hotels and it did not work.

This adapter is nicely made, and seems to work great. However, when I first tried it, it did not charge the car, and my Tesla wall adapter blinked red when plugged into the car. Troubleshooting, I realized that the older, Gen 1 Tesla wall chargers delivered 80 amps, but the adapter limits the maximum input current to 60 amps. Found the Tesla manual online and saw that there are dip switches to reduce the output amperage. I flipped one dip switch to go from 100 to 60 amp (AFTER switching off the circuit breaker) As in the attached photo, this actually delivers 48 amps to the adapter, which is well above the 14 and 28 amps I need for my PHEV. Plugged it in, and it seems to work perfectly with green wall adapter LED and charging car. YMMV.

I have tested a lot of Tesla to J1772 adapters, and this is the ONLY one so far (other than the one built-in to my Tesla Universal Charger) that will lock onto the Tesla handle and not let go! Most all of them have a locking tab, but if you pull on it, it will pop out. This is not very safe as you can pull it out under a full 48 amp load. But this one does lock and stay put.Unfortunately, it does not have a hole for a small lock to lock the adapter to the car. I have heard of these being stolen when left unattended at a public charger. If it had that, it would be five stars!Otherwise, it works fine. I plugged it into my Rivian and it delivered the full power of 11 kW (48 amps) and stayed pretty cool. The Tesla charger's handle hit 83 degrees, while the adapter stayed at a cool 74 degrees.Lots of choices in this field. This one's pretty good.

Impressed with its price, performance and convenience. I can now charge my non-Tesla EV along with my Tesla EV from the same Tesla Level 2 charger at home. It has worked seamlessly each time. Also worked with Tesla Destination chargers (Level 2) and the Tesla Mobile Charger. The charging speeds remain unaltered. The adapter feels sturdy and well-built and should withstand everyday wear and tear. I like the velvet pouch it comes in, keeps it off scratches when in storage. Side Note: This is not to used with Superchargers, so if you are looking for that, this would not be the correct adapter.This is a great investment, a good solution to be able to charge non-Tesla EVs on Tesla Chargers.

I love the way it latches with tesla charger and works perfectly with other cars. I had a wall charger with j1722 and it stops working randomly. There wasn’t able to charge my car. And again to get a new it’s too costly like at least $600 but i had a tesla charger with me. As exploring amazon i saw this product wasn’t sure how it works but thought of trying. And now the way it fits and charges felt me so good and also save me lot of money so i have no regrets on it. I have been able to benefit with this product cost as well as charging wise :). I am glad i bought this.
