New, works well. Did not include the wire switch bar. Keep your old one to use on this one if replacing a unit.

this is a fantastic ice maker although supco has always had great products a brand to be trusted had it installed in less than 15 minutes and still makes ice every day and my nephew really knows how to go through ice

Seems to be working perfectly within two hours of installation. No adjustment of water fill level needed. Ice cubes eject cleanly and it seems to make ice faster. That is my opinion since I never put a timer of the prevous OEM Whirlpool unit that started leaking out the bottom. When I got tired of breaking off the growing icicle off as the original unit steadily leaked and then frozen, got this Supco replacement within 3 days. Time will tell but it works just as the original equipment unit did.Update: 12 months and 15 days after purchase: Ice maker has decided that 'close enough' is good enough even when the icecube has not fully frozen. This dumps water into the ice bin. If its empty, the water purs out the front. If partially full of ice before it quit working correctly, it freezes the ice in the bin into something I saw on the movie Titanic!!!Should have believed the high number of 1 star ratings (over 10%). Customers are SUPCO's test subjects. I will buy an OEM unit next time. At least Whirlpool stands behind their product.

Perfect. Easy install. Mine was mounted on the top left of top freezer. Only took about 15 minutes. Don't panic it doesn't work right away. The thermaster needs to read -15 for a couple hours.

Works just fine. My original ice maker had a yellowish non-stick coating that started flaking off after roughly 5-6 years and constantly caused floaters in my drinks. The coating on this one is more of a slippery white paint coating. Hopefully it holds up to time. If it begins to break down, it will be harder to detect but I know how to inspect better now and will update if the coating starts to flake off. I’ve read many reviews for these ice makers as well as the ice level detection sensors and this Supco brand seems to get typically high marks. For now I’m thrilled to have clean ice again. Fit was fine and install was easy (I did have to swap the water inlet cup with my original which was taller and bigger than what came with this unit.). A quick YouTube video showed how to do that ( 5 minutes).

When I received this ice maker it installed just about perfectly in place of the old one. The only issue was that the electrical connector did not match the one from my old unit. I cut off the connector end from the old unit and spiced it onto the wires of the Supco unit just about color for color. It has worked perfectly since the installation, making ice large and quick. Actually quicker than the old unit. I would recommend this unit especially for the price of $66 dollars.

Easy to install and connect looks great and works goodOne small issue is the opening for the water intake that the fridge supply of water is directed to is lower and smaller than original so some water splashing occurs.

Our KitchenAid refrigerator stopped making ice cubes a couple weeks ago. After watching a few diagnostic youtube videos I figured it was the ice maker itself that was broken. I went on Amazon and ordered this replacement. I did a search for installation videos and found one for a similar Kitchenaid model. iPad in one hand, screwdriver in the other, it all went together as expected. But after 24 hours, still no ice. So this morning we pushed back the frig, took off the back, and checked the water supply lines, inlet valve and whatever else we could think of. But nothing appeared to be broken. So I took the ice maker out again, checked all the connections and put it back in. Then I remembered the wire lever thingy that was included (not shown in the photo and not part of the old ice maker) and that the instructions said wasn't needed on all models. When installed, the lever has two positions, up and down or on and off. So I put it on and pulled it down (in the on position, duh!) and ice started. My husband said it wasn't worth the time spent, but the satisfaction of fixing it ourselves made it worthwhile to me. We have different philosophies on fixing things. I will call a plumber if there's a foot of water on the floor. If not, I'll try fixing it myself first and then if all else fails, call a plumber. Plus, I probably saved over $150 doing it myself. The actual installation took about 15 minutes. I had never replaced an ice maker before nor had any idea of how they worked before Googling it and watching the youtube videos. I had never even lifted the cover and looked at the darn thing before. The most time consuming part was removing a flip down plastic ice maker cover that snaps on, part of the frig, not this unit. The hinges where you snap off the cover are small and I was afraid of breaking them so I stopped a couple times and finally asked my husband to remove it. Better he should break it than me! (He didn't break it and it came off easily for him.) I had to unscrew a bottom tray from the old ice maker and attach it to this one. That was simple and straightforward. Not realizing that wire lever thingy had to be in the down position was the only hang-up. I removed it after pulling it down to start the ice maker. (I could have used a screwdriver or pliers to turn the little thing the lever attaches to, but I had already put them away.) The ice maker is working perfectly now. This ice maker works with a LOT of different model refrigerators, like Whirlpool, Kitchen Aid and Kenmore. I asked a question in the above question section and received a reply the next day. You can see pages of different models it works with. We have a Kitchen Aid KSCS25INWH00. It's a side by side, freezer on the left and frig on the right.
