This is the 3rd one that has failed. The company replaced the first one, the second one I did not complain about, but now there is a 3rd to fail. I would not recommend this product

I purchase three of these units. One failed before it was a year old the other two still seem to be working.

Unit has advertised wattage, easily powering 16 lights. No dimming noted. Installs in seconds and the two lines make it more convenient to run in different directions without splicing.

Great to install, only thing that would improve it is adding a timer/sensor, but I bought a separate one that my transformer plugs into and is more than sufficient for all the LED lights that I have set up on it!

I used this to power 3 strings of landscape lights, each string having 12 LEDs and each light consuming 3W. Split the strings 2:1 across the two output cables. The unit was very easy to install and worked great until it stopped working 7 months later ;-

Spent many an hour trying to figure out what was causing my new pathway lights installation to not function, with weird intermittent problems and “blinking” LEDs. Multiple trials in different configurations over three days. The combination of transformer and LED light worked fine when directly plugged in. It worked fine with the Lutron Casseta Wireless PD-150UT-BL, Lutron Diva dimmer, and a generic On/Off mechanical switch. The LED lights would blink at a 4-5 second interval when the Lutron Casseta Wall dimmer PD-6WCL was used. Thinking that the problem was a damaged switch due to power surges, I also used a brand new dimmer of the same type, with the same result. Presumably, Lutron has another switch in its Casseta line that uses a different technology, so that I can continue to incorporate our path lights into remote voice control and schedules. I will update after testing other smart switches.[7/23/22]: This device DOES work with the Lutron Casseta Wireless Switch PD-5ANS. This switch is connected to both neutral and ground, as well as power. Others complain about the more complex hook-up, but it works well with this transformer. My pathway lights are again on-line for timed schedules. [YES!]A young stag kicked the pathway light shortly afterward, but it was not damaged.

If you're looking for outdoor 12V supply for landscape lights or security cams, don't mess with the all-in-one units that break down too soon, just pair this with a Stanley TimerMax outdoor pro, then put them both in a Qilipsu 370x270x150mm Junction Box. (Price for all 3 was $140!) It's really easy to zip-tie everything to the special mounting grate in the junction box, and the junction box is also sealed. Now if the timer or transformer fail you wont need to replace the whole unit. The timer is weather-resistant, has a battery backup, two external outlets and a manual override. The transformer is rock solid and weather sealed. It also has 2 sets of leads so I was able to run over 200' of lighting, apx 100ft for each lead. With a previous 300w all-in-one transformer that only had one output lead I couldn't get full power delivery to the end of a 200' wire, and some lights wouldn't work. Recently I added more lighting to the property and now have 2 of these transformer/time/junction box systems delivering sufficient power to over 450' of line total. That's a lot of coverage for the dollar.
