Suntown 22" Octagon Functional Gable Vent with Screen - 2 Piece Construction - White
These vents have a modern sleek design and are fully functional allowing air-flow into your attic space.
If you do not have an adequate breeze going in and out of your attic, you will end up with an overly hot roof which can cause your shingles to curl prematurely. Without a breeze, it will also contribute to a hot interior.
The first solution to these common problems is to install a gable vent when possible. Our vents have a front face that rotates so it can be removed, making it easy to install.
Our rotating design makes it incredible durable in severe weather situations. You won't have to worry about it blowing off in a heavy wind.
Other competing brands have a snap-on face that could potentially fly off in a heavy wind. Ours also comes with a leveling line on the side and a built-in screen.

I used this as a cover for a 22" octagon-shaped window in the guest bathroom in one of our rentals. I trimmed it and it fit perfectly.

The two piece design gives a lot of flexibility for installations. The flange part can be cut to fit the opening and screwed to the frame any way needed. The outer piece is easy to put on with a simple put on and twist slightly. The final install looks great.

The thickness was decent however I returned it the following day because of the color, it was more of a yellowish tint than white. I was surprised that large embossed letters of arrows and instruction were on the very top front face of the cover for all to see!

This vent was easy to install. I like that it comes in 2 separate sections so you can take it down and clean. The piece that mounts to the wall doesn’t lay flat in all places. I filled these areas with caulk. Overall a good product.

It will work mounted over the existing siding or under new siding, The hidden screen keeps insects from entering home and provides excellent ventilation.

Nice big vent for good air circulation. The screen keeps bugs out. I added metal 1/4 inch hardware cloth to stop access by bats. Had to put one screw in the cover to be sure it didn’t blow off in a strong wind. Otherwise great.

Purchased 2 of these Gable vents for an outdoor project. They were easy to install ad look good. Keep in mind the back will be inside the structure, the front on the outside, so that means the thickness of the board between the front and back can be no thicker than 5/8”. I also recommend adding silicone or caulk to prevent rain water from leaking into the inside and rotting the wood.

Item is well made, but when I received the vent, It was marked on the box that the vent could not be painted, and paintable models were available. I didn't notice anything about unpaintabilty in the description, or that if iI wanted to paint it, I had to order a different model Why have 2 versions? Since I bought this unit specifically to paint, and I had no time to get another one, I decided to rough up the surface and paint it anyway. Time will tell how long it will last.Beware if you want to paint your vent to match your trim
