Nice looking .. very sturdy … quality vent. We had the slot vent originally but kept we kept stepping on the vent slats and they broke. We don’t have the same problem with this. Looks great and the price was very reasonable.

This grate looked very nice, but the pattern had too much blank space for my Roomba. It decided that the holes in the grate were a step and stopped. The large holes also let LOTS of stuff fall into the vent.

I like the design. The top is metal, and can withstand a lot of weight...China Cabinet sits on one. They fit exactly the size of opening described in the description. They are a touch longer & wider on the metal top/part. Therefore, giving you more coverage around the opening. On the insertion bottom/part, they are a touch smaller. Therefore, allowing for inconsistencies in the cutout/hole.I'm very happy with this item. I purchased 10 or so for the whole house. I needed a longer size for one, and it fit perfectly!

This was my first time using Amazon Prime, purchasing vent covers. Speedy delivery, so happy with the look. Quality great, in particular like the plastic casing for cleaning/rinsing, should avoid any rust element.

Got two, although the chrome was nice, preferred sanding and painting them silk black to match the hardware. (we used ours to bring more air in rooms) Looks stunning.

We have just bought (and are in the process of renovating) a lovely 1930s house. The design of these suits perfectly. We have three boarded up chimneys, each with a rather nasty brass plate of ventilation 'slots': rather than use these as floor registers, therefore, we hoped to be able to use them as chimney ventilation grills. Happily, the builders were able to do the necessary work without fuss or drama. Result: something that looks really classy whilst doing a very humdrum job for us! Just a shame the builders haven't quite finished with all the other stuff they're doing in that room!I would have taken a star off for the packaging. I bought two of these and they arrived in a sort-of trapezoidal cardboard package within which there was nothing to stop one or more of the registers falling straight through. And evidently, that's precisely what had happened because I soon worked out that the package only contained one register. A call to Amazon resulted in an offer to refund 30% of the purchase price (despite 50% of the goods never having made it!), or a complete replacement order -which required me to return the one register that *had* arrived, causing the builders a day of delay.I decided not to deduct that star, however, because the replacement order arrived a day or two later with the same trapezoidal packaging, but correctly sealed top and bottom -so both registers arrived fine. I therefore placed a further order for a third register -and it arrived packaged correctly, too. So, whilst I was annoyed by the original packaging, it appears to have been an aberration -and it would be unfair to mark the product itself, which is excellent, for a one-off mishap with the packaging.Short version, therefore: excellent product, looks classy, good price.
