On my road bike the original spoke protector, sometimes known as the "dork" disk in the cycling world, broke dyring a spoke replacement session.Since I didn't have a replacement, I rode without one for a while...until I over geared beyond first gear and the chain went between the casette and spokes.Not thinking anything of it, I got the chain back in place and rode on. Then spokes began popping on the cassette side of the rear wheel.I did not think the chain caused that much damage, but I ended up replacing 10 spokes that were damaged enough by this little episode.So call me a "dork" for having this spoke protector on my bike, but I would rather have this protect my spokes than be replacing them should I over gear again. (I have adjusted the rear derailleur to prevent this, but parts wear, so regular maintenance is always required on your bike.)

I was looking for a spoke protector for a set of wheels that had a Shimano XT hub.I had given up but then I looked at Amazon and there it was.I had found the manufacturer of spoke protectors in Taiwan that had all the specs for all spoke protectors and model numbers and thats when I saw them for sale on Amazon.Fits Perfect
