The pencils are very good but the tin was damaged in five different places. It closes but I have to use a rubber band to keep the lid closed. I did make a larger chart and numbered the colors as they were in the tin. Then I put masking tape on each pencil to write the number corresponding to the chart. This way it keeps my pencils in order of temperature (Warm and Cool) and moving from one pigment to the other in the color wheel.

I wanted to help my daughter with her current obsession, which is faceups on various dolls, including Pullips dolls and some smaller ones that I can’t recall the name of. While I can’t keep track of her doll brands, I could help by researching and buying her really good watercolor pencils to use.These Staedtler Karat Aquarell Premium Watercolor Pencils were a big hit and what she’s been using pretty much exclusively since I got them. She tried them on a faceup on a Barbie first, before risking her precious Pullips, but it’s been GO ever since. She’s very happy with how smooth these lay on, how vivid the colors are, how they lay down more quickly so she doesn’t have to do so many repeat layers, and how well they blend.Overall, very, very pleased with these Staedtler Karat Aquarell Premium Watercolor Pencils: for the variety of colors, the quality of the cores, and simply how awesomely they work.

Although not as intense as a wax-based pencil, the colors are true and more uniform in their consistency. Nice metal case will help preserve the pencils. I did return first delivery due to smashed box.

Another great product out of Germany! A plethora of colors, many very unique, great creamy lay down wet or dry. I love the pencils that can be used either way. In my adult coloring, I sometimes come across an area that is quite large and thats when I use the aquarelles. I take my Blender pen by Zig, and swipe the tip either once for light application, or go back and forth for a deep color in corners, shadows, you know the drill. Beautiful presentation with the hinged tin box, they sharpen very well, holds an extreme point if you want it, and doesn't wear down fast to where youare constantly merged with the sharpener. Even though I own a set of 80 Neocolors 2, which I adore, I love the different colors this set offers and just how well they handle, HIGHLY recommended!!!

I love these pencils. They check all the great quality pencil boxes; they sharpen well, they feel very nice in the hand, they have excellent pigment and they blend with each other beautifully. They are soft not overly soft but soft enough that they are a joy to color with and they are very smooth. If you wanted to use these as standard colored pencils no water added you could. Some water color pencils really need the water to look good as they have a rough application when dry and if your pencil strokes are rough it shows even after you add water these don't. You can't tell the difference between these and other colored pencils. What the water does is add extra vibrancy to the pigment that is amazing and you get no pencil marks left behind. The only complaints I have is that there are only 60 colors and I wish there were more purples and pinks in the set and that there is only the color number printed on the pencil. The pencils have names, the set comes with a come chart and on it are both the numbers and the names. Neither of those things makes me love it any less.

Stunning colours! Stunning quality! The best watercolour pencils I've ever had.Tip: compare prices asked for these fabulous pencils. When I was looking, there were two very different prices listed. I couldn't see any differences in the photos of the product so I ordered the one with the much lower price. Same pencils, same case, very quick delivery, half the cost. Why would you want to pay twice as much for the same product?

These are the very best watercolor pencils ever. I would recommend having an electric pencil sharpener's instead of a hand sharpener if you want a very sharp tip. For over forty years I've purchased many sets and individual pencils of this set, and have some worn some down to an inch long, and they are still working fine. The color goes on smoothly and easily.They are beautiful for just colored pencil without adding water as well. This set is the largest and I'm thrilled to add more colors to my set.Recommend these highly. If I could add five more stars, I would.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

These watercolor pencils also have a strong rich color and are nice and smooth, that's why getting more of the colors even if you are just starting out getting them, is a good idea. I had a first set of 12 to try out and wanted to get more colors, because the first 12 are very primary looking after a bit. But in order to get the other colors, you have to repurchase the first 12 within the set because they do not sell the other colors separately, or in separate sets. So now I have the first 12 colors again, plus 48 more colors. So I should be set for a long while. That happens with all the sets, and from what I've heard, staedtler is also not making the 60 sets anymore, so I feel kinda lucky to have the large set. So remember, if you buy a 24 set lets say, and you want the 24 other colors later... you're going to have to buy the 48 set which means you'll being doubling up on the 24 first colors again. :)
