Did not have to mess with cabling inside the handles and get to the point of installing immediately and quickly. Tried to replace and took forever and errors were made so spending a bit more ahead of time saved me a lot of time. Wish I would have just done this from beginning. Great product.

Este juego de mandos me ha resultado de lo mejor, realizan sus cambios de manera suave y a la primera, tanto el trasero como el delantero, no se requiere de muchos ajustes para dejarlos funcionado al 100. El delantero es compatible con desviadores Shimano mientras que el trasero solo es compatible con Sram, incluye los dos mandos, no son duales.Recomendables sobre todo para bicis de gama de baja-entrada.

I installed these to replace the original Shimano Index shifters that were broken. With the included cables they installed quickly and easily. After installation my bike shifted better than it ever has. The shifts are crisp and fast. I can't believe on $30 made such a difference. These are worth twice the price.

The engineering is fine - this shifter has a very good tactile feel and shifts correctly 99% of the time. For the price, it's extremely good. My only complaint is that the plastic covering the handlebar clamp is thin & brittle - too brittle to withstand the bending necessary to slip the clamp ofer a handlebar without removing grips & levers, so from day 1 I've lived with it with a crack straight through the plastic over the clamp right above the gear indicator window, but this does ntor affect the function of the shifter at all.

I ride cross country regularly, about 60 miles per week. These are solid easy to adjust and work beautifully with the Sram X.4 rear and Shimano front derailleur.They have a different shifting action from my old Shimano shifters. Up and down shifting is controlled by the thumb only, not thumb and fore finger. It was an easy adjustment for me to make.Easy to install and simple to adjust. I would not hesitate in recommend these to anyone interested.

I bought this because the clear plastic cover with the gear indicator came off my the one on my bike and I couldn't find it. There is no way to get just that part replaced, but when I found this shifter for just $25 I decided to replace the entire thing. As a bonus, the other shifter came with it. Both included a new cable. It was a breeze to install and adjust, and it shifts perfectly. The hardest part about installing it is removing the rubber handlebar grip. I also had difficulty removing the old shifter cable. I should have clipped the rough end off of it first. When I tried to pull it through the first tube it ruined the tube. After clipping the end off I was able to pull it through the other tubes with ease. Luckily I had a spare tube to replace the one I ruined. (I never throw anything away, and this was from an older application.) It is hard to imagine how SRAM can make such a high quality item for such a low price.

Got delivered to my house,oh so quickly. Had it fitted to my bike in about 15 minutes. Now works a treat. It was a direct replacement for an X4 that was already on. So only replaced the right side, that was previously broken. Would highly recommend this supplier and of course Amazon.

I've got little to criticize with this product. It works great, shifts smooth enough, and was a quick install. Amazon got it to me super-fast and was able to get my bike up and running before the weekend hit. My only gripe is that the X.4 shifters I had on to start with on my bike lost the ability to ratchet up a gear but those had been put through a couple years of very rough (read: inexperienced) riding. Would recommend this product for any budget rider.
