Bought this for a project bike. Transitioning the bike from a 3 by 9 (27 speed) grip shift system to a 1x9 (9 speed) trigger. Installed easily and works perfectly with the early 2000s SRAM rear 9 speed derailleur. Work perfectly this far.

Great replacement for the poorly designed x9 shifter. This is 2 levels down the tier, however it offers quick crisp shifts.

This is a genuine SRAM 1:1 9-speed trigger shifter. It worked perfectly with my long cage SRAM X5 derailleur. Don't try to use a Shimano shifter on SRAM derailleurs--the ratio of shift lever movement to derailleur movement is not the same. Most Shimano's are 2:1. The SRAM X5 is 1:1. Some SRAMs are other ratios also, so check which SRAM model you have on the SRAM website for its ratio, then choose a compatible shifter.

I installed this shifter onto my bike with a new derailleur. The shifter installed easily with no problems. After the initial install and adjustment the bike shifted fine, sometimes the cable wouldn't want to release at first and I thought it may need some time to break in, the shift action did improve over time. I rode with this shifter twice without issue, maybe about 25 miles total. on my third ride this shifter stripped out and stopped working about 10 miles in. I could no longer retract the cable in. I cannot give this shifter a good rating because of how poor the durability was. I will seek other manufacturers in the future.

Ottimo acquisto, robusto e funziona benissimo.

Easy to install (replaced grip shift on girlfriend's bike, so much better!) Works great, well worth the money.

Love it. I am coming from a twist shifter to this and wow, what a difference!!!I got this with an existing X.7 derailleur. Works way better than I expected. Changed the entire feel of my biking experience for the better!Quick/snappy shifts and very quiet. Metal casing, (not plastic as I've read in some reviews).Zero Cons.Highly recommended!

I installed it temporarily on my single speed bike for one longer and very hilly ride and it will stay there probably forever. I paired it with a 9 speed X.5 derailleur and they work together very well the same as my "high end" mountain bike. Shifting is precise and reliable and I prefer Sram over Shimano. Very inexpensive and fun to use. It reminded me why we have derailleurs in the first place.
