This was the shortest version and the reach of my bars (not extreme) meant that the shifters could not be mounted close enough to the stem to keep my thumbs from rubbing. If the cords we just another 25mm, then you would have more options for mounting. I like the actuation a little better than the wireless version but the cord made it too restrictive.

I like the idea, but the installation of these didn’t work for aero base bars. The mounts compete for space with the brake cabling, so I had to try them facing either up or in an awkward position away from where my thumbs could get to them. I think that they would work really well along the top of drop bars. I ended up installing some clics instead, which completely stay out of the way. Great idea, limited application.
