These were a nice replacement for the Microshift shifters that were on my bike. The originals got torn up in a crash. FYI these only come with shifting cables, so reuse your existing brake cables or get new.

Purchased the 2x10 set and the right lever cycles through 10 positions that don't match the derailleur. The worst thing was after installing the brake cable it held just enough to appear to work, but when you apply pressure the end pulls through the big hole in the lever. Luckily I was not riding for that to happen.

I’ll start off by saying I’m not a bike technician so I had a little trouble adjusting the derailleurs, both front and back. I couldn’t pull the trigger on purchasing a Shimano replacement due to the cost but this pair was so low priced I had to try them! I like the fit and feel of the shifters, the look is nice and they work! Obviously thats the most important thing. What i dont like is now the shift cables are routed toward each other and are exposed. Whereas before they were hidden under the bar tape and had a nice clean look. I plan on upgrading my bike in the next few years and making my 2011 Giant Defy a trainer, so using these shifters extended its life for me at a reasonable cost. 4 stars might not be fair overall but i really don't like the look of the exposed cables.

I didn't realize you can't get Shimano 10 speed shifters anymore. I recently stripped out one of my STI shifters so I tried out these shifters. I'm pleasantly surprised I actually like these better than my Shimano shifters. They're a bit different in that the brake lever is only for brakes with a seperate lever and push button arrangement for gears. They come with shift cables but not brake. In reality you should use quality Jagwire cables anyway.

A little bit clunky but does the job so nicely. Thought I'd need to ditch my old bike cos' of the shifters but think it's got a second life now!

I have a 2010 GT Expert Carbon Fiber Road Bike with a Shimano Ultegra 6600 drive set. I've been riding it daily as weather allows and I've been able to keep it running by replacing parts as needed. I have upgraded the shifters to the 6700 model with internal cabling. Up until this year, I could find a Shimano 6700 right/rear shifter and although they were expensive, I prefer that model. This Month, I've had trouble shifting. I thought it was the derailleur. I could not find any new 6600 or 6700 derailleurs so I bought a Shimano 105. I replaced the chainring with a knock off as well (since I could not find any new Shimano 10x2s. But, the shifting was still not working properly, so I figured it must be the shifter. Now, I can't find any new 6600 or 6700 10x2 shifters. I think there was one R/L kit on Ebay for some ridiculous price (>$700). Plus, I refuse to buy used, since there is no way to tell how they will work until you install them. That brings me to this item. The way I've been going through Shimano 6600/6700 shifters, maybe a knock-off will last longer. Even if it does not last very long, at least it does not cost an arm and a leg for a replacement. It worries me shifting the front derailleur, because it takes a good amount of pressure, and these shifters are plastic. The shifters are very similar to the SRAM shifters I own, with separate up and down shifters, separated from the brake. I can live with them that way, but it does make wearing winter gloves a bit more complicated. I do have a SRAM bike as well, so I'm pretty familiar with the style.Maybe it is the same with a lot of other bikes, but my frame has some internal cabling and some external. Once you decide to change a right/rear shifter, it is a major pain in the butt to feed the cable through the top bar. This time, fortunately, that went smoothly, since I used a piece of a coat hanger from the last time I had to replace the shifter.Oddly, as someone here already pointed out, these shifters only come with new shifting cables. No brake cables and no external housing. I re-used most of my cabling. And, I still have a bunch from other installs if I need them. But, it is an odd omission. Also, with out instructions, I figured out that you need to pull out a barrel washer (I included it in a picture) that popped out, with a piece flying off. So, careful with that! Otherwise, the install is pretty much the same as with the Shimano Ultegra from what I can tell.Next, we will see if this shifter can last. I have a lot of hills here where I live, so I'm constantly shifting up and down on my daily 25 mile ride. Plus, I intend on keeping an eye out for either an Ultegra 6600 or 6700 right/rear shifter. I see there is RH Shimano 105 5700 for sale at perf bikes that I may go for if these shifters don't work.Edit To add: I have now noticed that MicroNEW is also selling an internal cabling version for $15 more on Amazon. It is specifically a replacement for my current 6700 shifter set (2*10 PHI compatible4600/5700/6700). It is an internal cabling model. I definitely would have preferred the internal cabling versus the external cabling. But, as of this date, it appears a "Usually ships within 1 to 2 months" warning.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B093DRDTZW/ref=twister_B07HXRY9B5?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1EDIT: 3/7/23 The weather cleared out enough for me to test out my shifters today. They work a lot better than what I had, but they are not as good as "working correctly" Shimano 6600/6700 shifters. I guess that is to be expected considering they are a fraction of the price. It is a little difficult knowing how far to pull the shifter to upshift. I do not feel or hear any click. I do ride with music on, but I could always tell with the OEM shifters. OTOH, the OEM shifters would often click without upshifting, causing it to be out of sync, so there is that.As far as dropping the chain to the smaller gears, it is a simple push button click. Very distinctive tactile and audible feedback . My old shifters were failing at this as well. So, that is a plus! Now the only question is how long they last. Only time will tell! At least this will extend the life of my bike a bit more before I'm forced to retire it. (Or change over to a modern drivetrain, meaning, new wheels, gears, shifters, chainring, and derailleurs.)EDIT:03/09/23 I finally found the true culprit. It was my cable housing all along! The first thing I checked was the cable and I replaced it, and it seemed like the cable was moving smoothly. After changing every other item in the drivetrain (Chain, Chainring, Derailleur, Shifters & Cable), there was nothing left to try. Voila! It actually cracked when I bent it.So, now that I have been able to test these shifters with a functioning cable, they work great. I was not wearing heavy winter gloves and I can now feel a button pop out every time I shift into a larger gear. So there IS tactile feedback. This is definitely a good replacement for the Shimano Ultegra 6600 IMHO.

Loved the ergonomics. Installation is very straight forward. Front deraillure shifts were very nice. The one issue I had was the inability to shift into the second smallest cog on the cassette. Hated to send them back, but my minimum requirement is to be able to use all the gears. Ordered a different set of brifters and now get to use all the gears. My issue may be an isolated case, but I didn’t want to take the risk of exchanging for the same model. Your mileage may vary.

Use these on my indoor trainer and I am very pleased. My front shifter does have trim even though some of the reviews mentioned that it did not. The shifts are a little stiff, but overall these shifters are a great value. The shifting is also a great intuitive design. I’d highly recommend if you are looking for a budget shifter option.

Cable installed easily and it works well - no problem indexing gears; however a little clunky when you release cable tension. Good replacement product. Used for older dura-ace group-set. Happy

I bought these because my Shimano 105 left shifter broke. I replaced it and gave it some testing. They shift very confidently, fast, soft and well indexed. They have a slim feel and do not slip under the rain. They are easy to install. It's interesting to use the system where there is 1 brake lever and 2 shifting levers, instead of a moving brake lever to do the big shift, but it works just fine. I felt them to weigh roughly the same as my old 105.

Inexpensive but functional brake/shifters for renos or custom build. Separate upshift "button" and downshift lever on the rear. Upshifts on the front use the lever (over a long throw) and the "button" operates the downshift. The brake levers are fixed and do not operate the gear shifts (unlike Shimano).
