Used as replacement for broken SRAM shifter on Islabike kids bike. Easy to fit and worked fine. Keep in mind that if fitting on a kids bike like this (without front gears) then you'll probably need asymmetric grips (where the left and right grips are a different length). It's not a huge issue as you can just cut the right grip to size, but if you have the choice you may as well buy the correct sized ones to begin with.Note that different shifters can have different pull ratios. This is a 1:1 ratio shifter. If in doubt it's easiest to just replace a broken shifter with the same make and model.

The amount of cable movement for each gear shifted does not match the distance the derailer has to move to change sprockets. This means that you can not get all 7 gears to work properly. This 7 speed shifter was to replace an 8 speed Sram shifter that was shifting correctly but it had an extra gear that was not used and that bothered me. I see no reason I should have to pay for a return when the 7 speed shifter is not working correctly.

The way it was designed is not that very good. The shifter is very hard to turn from any gears and it did not mach speed on the bite. I still cannot make a correct adjustment on the bicycle speed. It is not a good product.

This shifter fit perfectly and is really easy to shift. The cable was a good bit longer than my housing, which is perfect!

Much easier than a paddle shifter for arthritic hands. The twist grip spreads the load onto several joints rather than just my poor thumb, particularly when changing downwards. It was a direct replacement for the Sram paddle shifter, and the new cable included makes installation easy.

Tinkering with an old grip shift failed, prompting me to replace it with this. And this has been one great shifter. Comes with cable for rear derailleur pre-installed so it's just a quick slip your cable through your routing lines and lock it down on your derailleur; if you get it right, one click = one gear shift. Shipping was prompt from 'trailthis'. Installation a breeze. Function (so far) has been flawless. If I could step back in time I would save myself from the torture of tinkering with an old, weathered grip shift and simply bought this.
