SRAM

RELENTLESS

To be the best. It’s why you ride. It’s why we build components. The perfect combination of precision and brute force. No obstacles stopping us. No limitations slowing us down. Ours is a relentless pursuit: to make the climb shorter, the trail smoother, the turn tighter, the descent faster. To give you the strongest, lightest, quickest bike on earth. To be the best.

A HISTORY OF INNOVATION

SRAM was founded on a single product in 1987 and introduced the Grip Shift (or twist shift) shifter to the road bike market in 1988. In 1991 that technology was adapted for mountain bikes, and SRAM quickly grew.

SRAM FUNDAMENTALLY BELIEVES THAT:

  • Bicycles improve the environment.
  • Bicycles ease traffic congestion.
  • Bicycles reduce the cost of transportation.
  • Bicycles improve health and reduce obesity.

Cyclists are a passionate user group that support and enhance the areas in which they ride.

SRAM’s products promote sustainability – they empower people to transport themselves and their families at low cost, to stay healthy, and to reduce pollution and improve community by reducing the use of fossil fuel-powered vehicles.

SRAM is proud to deliver quality, exciting, sustainable products to its customers, but our obligation to social responsibility does not start and end with our products. We are also committed to improving our business practices to increase our positive impact on our employees, the people in our communities and those far away, and our planet itself.

Our purpose statement is “We believe in the power of bicycles and expanding the potential of cycling. We create and manufacture components that inspire cyclists.”

aber die Kennzeichnung welche Griffe es genau sind und für welche Schaltung ist ungenau

Fairly close to exact replacement for my trex bike. Easy to do, yet challenging because we don’t do this every day.

Exactly what the bike shop would have sold me at a far better price. I paid a shop to do my wife's bike and then I found these and did my own. Saved well over $100. You need to have a little mechanical inclination that's all.

I bought this to replace the worn-out shifter on my bike. While I wish that the mechanism were a bit more robust, the actual installation and fine tuning were quite simple. A couple of thoughts: take several pictures of the cable routing so don’t make mistakes, and if you don’t already own one, purchase a pair of cable-cutters to trim the excess. Otherwise, you will soon learn that ordinary side cutters or wire cutters will seriously fray the cable before actually cutting it instead of making a clean cut. The ones I purchased cost about $10, money well spent to complete the job properly.

Easy :-) Kann wirklich jede/ jeder !!!

My kid was soo sad his gear broke so I order this as replacement. This was easy to install quality looks good. Does not look or feel cheap. The good: Price is good and good quality and strong grip. Comes with handgrip replacement. The bad: Wish they had a cable end cap. I have to cut excess cable length but just dangle. It would be nice if they supply us with metal cap to put at the end.

I purchased this Sram 3.0 Comp Twister Mountain Bike Shifter Set for an old Specialized Rockhopper. This shifter did not work well with my bike. The shifter skips some gears on the rear derailleur. Here is what you need to know, the shifter instructions state that this is compatible with the following rear derailleurs:SRAM X.0/X.9/X.7/5.0/4.0/3.0 (1:1 Activation Ratio)This shifter is compatible with the following front derailleurs:Front Derailleurs SRAM & Shimano

Great shifters. Sadly, I didn't read the reviews carefully enough before I bought these. As many have warned, the rear shifter doesn't play well (or at all) with Shimano derailleurs. Sadly, the only use I got out of this product was the handlebar grips which are also quite nice. I tested with the left shifter and it worked quite nice on my front derailleur. If I wasn't so in love with rapidfire shifters, I probably would have bought a SRAM rear derailleur so I could use these, the shifter feels really high quality and snappy for the price.

The shifter on my bike failed after about ten years. These SRAM shifters were the exact replacement for my mountain bike. Installation only took about 30 minutes. This shifters have a solid feel to them and my bike shifts like new again. You will need an Alan key to do the replacement but most standard bike tool kits have the required tool.

I bought this to replace worn/damaged shifters on my son's Trek MT220. The set came with the three-speed front shifter, seven-speed rear shifter, and two handlebar grips. The shifters came with the cables pre-installed. There were no directions on how to remove the old grips so I just cut them apart with a utility knife and pulled them off. It was extremely easy to remove and replace the shifters (last year I tried just replacing the shifter cables and it was so difficult that I will never do that again.) One of the handlebar grips required a little bit of effort to get on (push twist, etc.) but the other one went on fairly easily. The grips are much thicker than the once that were on the bike. The rear shifter works the same as the previous one - one click per gear. The front shifter doesn't work the same way (either that or my old one was broken). It has multiple clicks all the way from 1 to 3. So instead of just three positions there are now about 8. The rider now has to look to see the setting or listen/feel (like the good old days) for the gear change. This may slightly increase confusion among younger riders (say less than 10 years old) but it may actually give the rider a chance to use more gear combinations since the front derailleur can effectively be adjusted from the shifter to keep the chain from rubbing against in under more conditions.

I bought a pair of these once the OEM Sram SR4's (triggers) went belly up! Always before? I had gearing issues and constaint chain grinding, but??.... NO MORE! I get a PERFECT alignment EVERYTIME! No fuss, easy to install (8 to 10 mins.?), and they WORK! GREAT!!I was UNSURE if I could swap-out my trigger shift changers (Sr-4's) to the twist shift genre... THIS was the best $16 investment I have made in a LONG TIME! Yes, they ARE mostly made of plastic but they WORK...The cables were PRE-INSTALLED on the shifter AND the handle bar grip extensions were also included.(I am NOT a hard-core rider UNLESS I am running late for my college classes!)VERY Happy! Very pleased!
