I got these mostly for the self-centering punch. I have a Starrett push style, which I like, but I was hoping that this would work for smaller screws. Not so much. It's about the same size. Oh well, who complains about some new tools. The other day I had a floor nail sticking up and I figured I'd bust out the nail set. Wow. These things work! The sharp hardened point was really secure on the nail head, and it really packs a wallop. My video-game-soaked 10-year old was amazed at how it "one-shotted that nail". If anything, it sunk it too far. Lesson learned for next time; you may not need to give it full force.I will say that I still prefer the push-style center-punches because they can be operated one-handed, but for nail setting you need two hands either way (one on the nail set, one on the hammer) and this way seems less error prone. There's nothing worse than using a nail set so you don't mar the wood with your hammer, and then sliding off the nail and marring it with the nail set itself.

The tools are great! They work awesome. The case they are supposed to be held in fell apart very fast. No complaints otherwise

I love these things. I do furniture repair and antique restoration work. And i gotta day! These have made so many in house jobs a lot easier! They work very well once you get the techniques right. Plus can be used for a lot of things i didn’t even expect! I think maybe some bigger models could be pretty cool!!

These nails sets are invaluable! I tried using traditional nail set/hammer combos and the nail set far too often slipped off the nail head and damaged the moulding. No more. The SpringTools nail sets work with regular nails and nail gun fired nails. Zero skilled needed and very accurate! Highly recommended.

I have only used the nail set tool so far but it worked like a champ setting blind nails in an engineered floor I recently installed. Previously I used a hammer and nail set which worked but it was a chore when blind nailing the trailing edge of the floor against a wall. Only thing is you need to remember to keep your fingers off the spring ... I suspect it would be good for a painful pinch if that spring caught a fingertip. Also will probably need some wipe down with WD-40 to keep rust at bay. All in all a good purchase ... I am happy so far.

At first I thought these would be some sort of gimmick. Boy was I wrong, these things work great come in very handy! You can get into tight spots with these easilly. They work great for setting nails or a rouge staple or nail that broke off. Just snap them a few times and they dissapear! I own this set but now I like these so much I will order the other sets. Highly recommended!

The nail set is the best tool a trim carpenter can have is his belt, it's light, fast & leaves a clean hole for a painter to fill, the only issue I have is that the spring is only good for about one year but for the cost it's worth it
