the racks works great outdoor but needs to be secure down.

We thought this product would be a great fit for our 3 kayaks. We received the product at the end of September. Living in Indiana, the weather changes as winter draws near. We had a windstorm of maybe 50mph winds and although the kayaks and stand were blocked by the side of the house and 3rd car garage, the stand still fell over. With the kayaks being on the stand when it fell, it damaged one of the legs. Unfortunately, with fears of this happening again we feel our money was wasted and are now looking to build a stand from pvc. If you do buy this product, pending weather where you live, you will need to secure it from wind.
