Easy to install, easy to read dial, nice to speed shift through several gears, and looks nice on bike. My only problem was that it didn't include enough ferrules when I cut and fitted all my cables.

I replaced the brake/shifter lever sets on an old Trek mountain bike that had Shimano parts. The perfectly replaced what I had and work great. The kit includes everything you need, cables and cable covers. I will buy this again to replace the same parts on another Specialized mountain bike.

I was gifted a 1990s-era Specialized hybrid bike that had barely been used. The tires had rotted over the years, and the grease in the hubs and pedals dried out. I replaced the tires, tubes, pedal, and seat and had the hubs repacked. It came with grip shifters which I've never been fond of. There are not that many 3x7 options available these days and I was glad that these were Shimano to work with my Shimano components.A neighbor who used to own a bike shop helped me with the installation. These are kind of a low level of Shimano (Acera) but they are the highest level that comes in 3x7. I would have liked Deore or XT if available.I don't know if I would use these on a mountain bike for trail riding but for paved roads or smooth paths they work fine and shift without drama. 5 stars because despite the low cost and only being Acera I can't find one thing to complain about.

Been looking for a replacement for my Shimano Alivio ST-MC11 for my vintage Nishiki Backroads MTB.Although the kit came with new brake cables as well, I kept my old brake cables and just installed the new ST-EF500.Initial installation was easy. Fine tuning was a bit tricky. I’m a handy guy but not a lot of experience with bikes. My father-in-law helped and looks like I’m up and running again!

This is a good value complete set. It has everything you need for one complete install (shifter and brake cables and casings, casing end caps, and cable end caps for both left and right sides. The only thing it doesn't have is instructions, you will have to study some youtube videos if you have never done this. I replaced the old grip shifts on my Cannondale H300 and the indexing works perfect for all 21 gears.

Bought these for my wife's bike that has Shimano derailleurs. If you're mechanical they're easy to install. Note: the cable tensioning pliers I purchased were helpful. They shift smoothly and accurately. And the long, brake levers, once adjusted, were perfect for her small hands.

Re-building my old quantum infinity mountain bike, had separate brake and shifters (Shimano), and so replaced with this sweet Shimano set, replaced all cables to new...a few minor adjustments and a now fully functional bike...sure beats buying a new one!

Pésimo producto, venía sin su empaque, lo que da la impresión de ser un producto apócrifo, venía sucio y en mal estado, con raspaduras y un cable doblado, parece que ya había sido usado en alguna bicicleta, me gustan los productos Shimano, esa marca nunca enviaría sus productos en una bolsa de plástico y hechos bola.
