This vacuum is awesome. I have 2 dogs and was constantly fighting dog hair. Hair balls. Since I purchased this little vacuum robot, I never see hairballs or dog hair and my floors stay so clean. I absolutely love it. I don’t know why I didn’t purchase it before this. I had purchased a cheaper one and it did not do the job that this shark does. It is amazing. I will never do without one again.

I currently have four shark robot vacs, all of different flavors that self empty, and one stand alone no shark unit, I have also had lots of experience with a few other robot vacs in the past. What I like about this one specifically is the mapping is accurate, doesn't need the room lights on to be accurate, and the vac does a great job cleaning. However just because they self empty, it doesn't mean there is zero maintenance. (Certain family members think these are truly set and forget) Robot vacuums are far from that, but they are super convenient, and do a great job. However you need to be diligent in keeping the filters clean, emptying the base station, and cleaning the units themselves (brushes, sensors etc.) and they will work well. Also if you have pets, PLEASE don't let them vac on a schedule without checking for "little accidents" etc. Unless you want to cover your house in something nasty. These robots literally cover almost 100% of an area. So they are certainly thorough. Great value, especially if buying refurbished unit. Shark for the win!

Yes it's noisy but that doesn't bother me, cause it is cleaning my floor! I finally have a clean floor, without having to do it myself. Once it starts I know to pick up dog toys etc and let it do it's job. It only has to recharge once and then finish the job. And it doesn't miss like the others did. I have some rugs taped down and it gets them too. Unlike the last one that just stopped wherever and we had to go find it to return it to the base, this one does it on its own then empties itself. Very VERY pleased with this product.

I bought this same model at Costco on sale for downstairs. It does a good job and I'm happy with it. I got this refreshed unit for the upstairs. It was a little more than $100 cheaper. It came with everything the Costco unit came with except the original box. There was one dog hair in a filter that got missed, and the round foam filter was no longer white. A couple of specs of dust. Otherwise, it was very clean. It works just like the unit from Costco. The Shark app controls and schedules both my units.I don't have a dog or kids, so it works well for me. I empty the dust been every few days even if I don't really need to do so. (Got to have some excitement in life.) Replacement filters and brushes are available on Amazon for about $20 even if they don't specify the model. I gave up on trying to find a equivalent model and just went by looks on the filters and brush rollers. Note that this unit would not be cost effective if the replacements parts had to be purchased directly from Shark. I have not had either unit more then 6 months and have not needed to replace anything yet.The battery holds it's charge just as well as the new unit from Costco. Both units run about an hour for the first pass when cleaning. Both units need to recharge a couple of hours before finishing their floor - it's a large house. BTW A battery replacement is available from Amazon for about $20 should it be required someday.I use my old vacuum cleaner to clean the Shark robot once in a while. The filters collect a layer of dirt. The white round filter can be washed, but I find vacuuming it works just as well. The robot will get hung up on cords if they are out where they will be run over, so don't be sloppy with the cords. The robot tends to "hop" around the base of standing lamps. This can be noisy. I should use the app to exclude the lamps, but I'm lazy. One last note. Some units have a filter and screen that's molded into the dust bin used on the robot. Replacing it means replacing the entire dust bin. This is not the case for this unit. Both the filter and screen can be replaced separately. The "orange" filter slides out. The screen screws on.I originally named by first unit "Dirtbag". A close friend suggested I was insensitive to my robot. Okay, "Dusty" it is. I was tempted to name it after that person as a joke, but I decided to live instead. :)

It’s okay. It drives around and picks up lint and dog fur which is, I suppose, its primary function.Cons:• The vac has a /constant/ rattle that makes it sound like an indoor lawnmower, which I could not identify and now cannot remedy, and has had since before it ever vacuumed for the first time.At first I was sure that I had simply failed to remove some portion of the packing materials, but no. Apparently the brush it ships with is the wrong size for the unit, which feels like a silly mistake for a company the size of Shark to make, but here we are. I’ll be reaching out to them to remedy the situation and if they do not have a remedy, I’ll be returning the unit. This is as loud or louder than our regular vacuum.• It takes about twice as long to run as our old Wyze vacuum, but it picks up roughly the same portion, so that’s kind of a pro/con, in that we almost have to be gone to let it run.• The size of the dust cup is a joke. At first I thought I was just looking at the removable filter, but came to discover that the 2”x3”x.5” was literally the whole cup. It is without exaggeration 1/3 the size of our Wyze vac. I bought it on the promise of only emptying the base unit once a week, but the canister it desposits into is also only about the size of the Wyze canister, so it’ll likely be every other day, or maybe even daily, again. The mapping function is good, though it doesn’t always follow its “restricted area” protocol. It has attempted to ravage the cords under my stereo a couple of times now. I keep making the restricted area a little larger, to the point where I’ll likely eventually just avoid the living room altogether.Pros:• It wasn’t expensive. I got mine for only $160, or about $30 more than the superior vacuum from Wyze.Unimpressed.
