As others say, these are good sturdy poles. They come in quite a heavy box, and the poles will be one of the stronger parts of your construction. They are easier to install than any other poles I've seen, because you don't even have to augur out a hole or pound them in, both of which require other tools. With these, you just twist. I cannot test these for a month or so, because our ground is still frozen solid, but I am confident I can just install these by hand, with cheater bars if necessary. I have some lengths of black pipe that I use for pipe clamps, that would work fine. And they'll screw into the ground. It can be better for light-duty construction even than auguring the hole and backfilling with the dirt, because you retain some of the integrity of the ground around it. Obviously for heavy side loads, you should pour a footing, so these are for quick lighter duty setups, such as canopies.

These poles are incredibly durable and easy to install. They hold up my shade sail perfectly, even in windy conditions.

These are some nice heavy Poles that would work well for securing smaller shade sales. If you have a larger one, you're gonna need a solid pull rather than this 1 which is screwed together. But for smaller polls it probably won't work

I like how the nurseries put up shade and these were the closest to that I could find online. In a few months I will have to worry about the harsh sun frying my young citrus trees, which are too inexperienced or mature enough to fight off the sun's intensive rays. And when that time comes, I will only have the stamina myself for lasting no more than five minutes out there myself. Digging in the yard under 115 degree heat is not my favorite thing to do, so I am preparing in advance a few months early. In addition, it recenly rained very heavily so I have very soft ground to work with. The bottom pole has a spiral so I just needed to twist it. It was still not stable so I twisted it more with the included rod that gets inserted in the two holes. I was able to drive it further into the ground before fetching the garden hose so I could make the new hole softer at the bottom. The bottom pole needs to be inserted far enough into the ground to be able to support the remaining poles.Incidentally, The box was very heavy so I opened it right there at the mailbox and carried two poles in at a time. They each were wrapped in bubble bags and the single sheet of instructions was simple and straightforward. The clamp that goes at the top of the pole is easier to adhere if you have a tightening tool. I'm not sure yet if I will use all the poles. It seems like it will be plenty high enough with one less pole. Pity the set didn't come with an extra bottom pole. Then, I would be able to make three tethers. I also imagine one will need a ladder to finally attach the sun sail and I would think placement would need to be pre-arranged to accommodate the pre chosen sails.Another challenge was getting the first pole straight. But overall, I like the simplicity of the installation and design.

This shade said set arrived in new condition, tightly packaged within a generic box. The sheet of paper bearing the instructions did not make installation easy. The video that the QR code leads to, however, does! The poles are thick and sturdy. The sails feel durable and work effectively as shade. Overall, I am happy with it.

These are some serious poles! They are well-made and fit together well. I will be using them for cafe lights. Where we live, we get gusty winds out of nowhere. Our shade sail is on a 3.5-inch schedule 40 pipe with 3 feet in concrete... If you have smaller sails or less wind, these would probably work for you. The only less obvious issue I foresee is separation between the sections if there is enough lift. This would be easy to prevent by running a screw through the joint. All in all, this is a good product that is easy to install and doesn't require digging or concrete work.

These 2 poles are pretty thick and strong heavy duty metal tubes. Each pole comes in 4 piece sections that just attach to each other. It has a long spiral spike that probably takes the most effort to install. Overall the setup process was simple and straightforward. The top has a cover to keep water out from enter the tube as inside the tube is not coated. I have the triangle sails already and the poles are up. They work quite well and don't seem to sway. I do think the poles could have a more snug fit together.
