WOW, Amazing, Awesome, Incredible, Phenomenal, Outstanding, Excellent, Radical, Killer. I can't say enough about this sub. This things produce crystal clear sound even at thresholds and I am blown away at how well it performs. Great low end and rumble. Handles that tight punch and long sustain better than I could have imagined. I am very, very impressed. If you are looking for an economical solution with professional level sound then these and other Seismic Audio products are for you. I will continue to use these products going forward for all my live sound needs. P.S. These even sound great as part of Home Theatre System.P.S. As a rule of thumb there are a few songs and movies you want to play through your system to determine how it sounds, make sure it is eq'd properly and ensure it can handle anything you can through at it and handle it. They are Star Wars Episode 1 Pod Race Scene. Any of the battles scenes from Apocalypse Now, Platoon or Hamburger Hill, Metallica's One, and Milli Vanilli's Girl You Know it's True. If these songs, produce that low end with out distorting or rattling then your sub is set perfectly and will handle anything. Well I have to say I went through this regiment with this sub and I have to say exceed all expectations. Even heard things I don't remember hearing before. Very Impressed and can't wait to do further business with Seismic Audio.

I purchased this a week ago and use it for my home theatre system. Additionally it is hooked up to a P.A. system for playing songs through my IPod. Back in the day I used to DJ weddings and other social events and for smaller venues this would be more than adequate. I have it set up in my unfinished basement (25'x 30' area) and depending on the settings it makes the rafters and heating ducts shake, rattle and roll. I was skeptical at first because the price was so much less than any other brand out there but I am delighted I chose this. Also I had excellent communication from Rusty at Seismic, he was informative, patient and knowledgable. This sub is the best bang (literally) for your buck out there and will not disappoint. One final note, it is heavy so I recommend 2 people or a hand cart to move it around. Thanks Seismic well done.TE

This is the first review I've done because this sub deserves it. I originally was going to buy a brand name sub from the music store for twice the price but thought I would take a chance after reading the reviews on this one. I was not disappointed in fact this sub goes way beyond my expectations. it sounds as good and probably better than the subs I test drove at the local music store for a fraction of the price . When I crank it up it actually vibrates my whole garage which is way more power than I need and at lower volumes still sounds full,I'm very impressed. It's a little heavy (because it's made well) but I can lift it myself. I'm running it off the mixer mains and feeding a power amp off the outs and using the speaker outs for the monitors. I did contact "Seismic" customer service to see what type of cables I would need because from the online picture I was not sure. The were very helpful and explained every thing I needed to know. I've only had it for a month but all in all very impressed!

I have only had this a couple days so I can't comment on the long term durability of this unit. In the time I have had it it has been pushed to borderline clipping (the clipping light activates, but is not audible) for several hours in a row with no issues at all and the heat sink barely got warm to the touch. I measured the peak output to be around 115 db c weighted about 3 feet away with my meter from radio shack, which is honestly a little less than I expected but still decent. (EDIT: that was with the crossover down at 45Hz, it goes MUCH louder when you crank the crossover up...maybe not such a great sub for rap/hiphop but great for rock). However, the satellite amp is excellent and seems to be putting out the power it advertises although I have no way of testing that. The unit feels very well built, with metal handles and a thick cabinet. The front grill is sufficient for minor to mid size impacts and the corner braces are well mounted. The only problem I have found is it has some slight air leakage somewhere but I was not able to identify where since it is relatively quiet and will only be heard 1-2 feet away from the back max with only the subwoofer playing and can't be heard at all with mids/highs added in. Despite the solid construction, I wouldn't feel confident dropping this more than 8 inches and expecting it to still work. All in all it is a great unit for the price, and I would recommend it for anyone needing some bass in their system for crowds of about 50-100 people.I will post if the unit gives any problems at all if it does.UPDATE: After about 2 years I have partially blown the woofer. I replaced the woofer with a Peavey driver out of a damaged cabinet and it sounds a bit better than it did originally, the SA18 had a rubber surround and the Peavey had folded paper.

I just recently received this PA subwoofer to go with my JBL JRX115 top speakers and this sub made my system sound even better than it was. The pair of JBL's are great speakers to use alone for small parties, however, for bigger events, I was lacking a lot of low end bass and the Seismic Audio Tremor 18 did the job. Not only does this subwoofer has a built-in amplifier, it also has a built-in crossover to control how deep and punchy you want the low end bass to be.Another thing I like about the Tremor 18 subwoofer is that you can also connect passive PA speakers directly to the Tremor 18 by using the sub's amp instead of using a separate amp to power up the passive speakers. It makes everything so much convenient to set up during DJ mobile gigs. I will definitely buy another one to couple them together to produce more clean low end for huge venues.Update:I just bought another Tremor 18 powered subwoofer. These things sound really good when you put two of the subs together side by side. I'm very satisfied with the unbelievable price and the quality. I would highly recommend the Tremor 18's to anyone without a doubt.
