I recently picked up the Sea to Summit Delta Bowl in Orange, and here’s my detailed review based on its performance during my camping trips and daily use.Packaging & First ImpressionsThe Delta Bowl comes in a compact, well-designed package. The bright orange color is vibrant and fun, making it easy to spot in your gear, especially when you’re outdoors. The bowl is lightweight but feels solid, and you can tell it’s made from durable materials right away.Design & MaterialThe bowl is constructed from food-grade BPA-free polypropylene and features a Thermolite material, which gives it a nice balance between strength and lightness. The finish feels smooth, and the bowl has an ergonomic shape that fits comfortably in your hands, even when you’re eating a meal or drinking something warm. One of the standout features of the Delta Bowl is its anti-slip base. It has a non-slip ring around the bottom that helps keep it stable on surfaces, which is incredibly useful when you’re using it in a tent, on a picnic table, or even in the car. No more spills!Size & CapacityAt 1.5L (50 oz) capacity, the bowl is perfect for large meals, soups, salads, or even for serving snacks to a group. I’ve used it for both cooking and eating, and it’s the right size for one person or for sharing a meal with a couple of friends. It also has graduated measurements marked inside the bowl, which can be handy for cooking or measuring liquids.Ease of Cleaning & DurabilityI’m always looking for camping gear that’s easy to clean, and the Delta Bowl doesn’t disappoint. It’s dishwasher-safe, so I just toss it in after every meal. I’ve used it for hot, greasy foods, and it comes out clean every time without any stains. The material is stain-resistant and doesn’t retain odors, which is perfect for an active outdoor lifestyle.I’ve dropped it a few times (as I tend to do when I’m in a rush setting up camp), and there are no cracks or damage to the bowl. It’s impressively durable, which speaks volumes about its quality.Performance OutdoorsI’ve taken this bowl on a couple of backpacking trips and used it for everything from cereal in the morning to pasta and soup at night. It’s very lightweight at just 100g, so it doesn’t add much weight to my pack. Plus, its stackable design allows me to nest it with other camping dishes, saving space. The wide rim is also useful for stirring food or eating from, and the bowl’s depth ensures that liquids won’t spill over when you’re eating on the go.Color & AestheticThe orange color is not just vibrant and fun, but it also makes the bowl easy to spot in the wild or among your other gear. It’s great for visibility, especially if you’re eating or cooking in lower light conditions or when you need to quickly locate your utensils and dishware.Final ThoughtsOverall, I’m very impressed with the Sea to Summit Delta Bowl. It’s a great combination of functionality, durability, and design. It’s perfect for anyone who’s looking for a reliable outdoor bowl that can handle the elements, is easy to clean, and doesn’t take up much space in your gear.Pros: • Lightweight and durable, perfect for outdoor adventures • Non-slip base keeps it steady on various surfaces • 1.5L capacity is versatile for meals or snacks • Ergonomic shape and easy to hold • Dishwasher safe and stain-resistant • Bright, visible color helps with locating your gear • Stackable design for easy storageCons: • Might be too large if you’re looking for something for small snacks or meals • The plastic material might not appeal to those seeking all-metal or natural alternativesRating: 5/5 starsThis bowl is a fantastic addition to my outdoor gear, and I highly recommend it for anyone in need of a functional, durable, and easy-to-clean bowl for camping or everyday use. It offers excellent value for money and performs flawlessly in all conditions!

Easy to hold bowl that protects you from burning hand with hot food in bowl. Great for camping, but I use it at home at lunch often!

This Delta Bowl is really good for camping. I’ve only used it once, but it stood up well and is easy to clean. The bowl holds a sizeable meal or cereal. They are nicely made, as you would expect from Sea to. Highly recommend.

i bought the first set from sierra trading post, use them all the time , they go with me in my cooler , well made ,light weight, easy to clean, and wont leave a greasy film on it after cleaning, like the waldo junk. they should make a nice canteen cup , or something deep and with handles to hold hot food items, that i would also get . if your a trail blazer, work out doors, have to eat inside tour vehicle, what ever the case maybe , for foods on a plate, and not on a bag , get these . The bright orange ones can be seen from space, lol happy trails .

The shape of this bowl makes it useful for eating just about anything. The sides are tall enough that it holds liquids well, but it was wide enough that I could eat a steak on it pretty easily as well. The only complaint that I have is that using metal utensils caused some fairly deep scratches on the bottom.

A good size, comfortable to hold, retains heat well enough, cleans up easily with a piece of kitchen towel.

This little bowl is great. I took it backpacking with me for a weekend along Picture Rocks National Lake Shore in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. I just strapped it to the out side of my pack or hooked a carabiner through the loop. It's fairly lightweight and the perfect size for me, as I'm a fairly big eater (6'4" will do that to ya!). I love that I can dump hot food in this bowl and not burn the crap out of my hands. The thumb stud grip is ingenious and works even with my large hands. Does the textured bottom help with heat dissipation? Eh, I dunno if it's much of a marked improvement, but the plastic is thicker which makes a difference and the design increases the surface area which allows for better heat dissipation so it makes sense on paper anyways. I did see another reviewer say that the bottom is hard to clean if you get it dirty... Where are you setting your dishes that they get that dirty anyways? Keep it clean, and it stays clean. One meal did seem to leave a bit of odor on the bowl, but I believe it was my fault for not washing thoroughly and not using soap that time as it was my last day. The smell was from maple and brown sugar oatmeal. Which ironically was on my hand for quite a while that day too. So it seems it's not a coincidence. Other meals, however, did not leave a smell at all. They included a meal called "thanksgiving dinner" (instant potatoes, stuffing, dried cranberries, turkey jerkey), Chicken and rice with cream of mushroom and french onion soup mix, and also a chicken/rice/salsa/cheese mix for burritos. None of them left any odors in the bowl.I intend to use this bowl at home for the next few weeks to see if any other food odors stick with the bowl. I'll update this review to include my findings.I also own the Delta Plates which are great too, but they are more geared towards car camping or canoe camping. They are just too big for backpacking. The only reason I took the bowl backpacking is because we were a group sharing a single pot for meals. Solo backpacking would entail me just eating out of the pot used to cook ditching the bowl completely.
