Well made attachment for the rotary sds plus hammer drill. Using the hammer feature, you can drive a ground rod through the soil with ease. Compared to using a sledge hammer, this is much faster, easier, and safer. The opening is plenty wide for any grounding rod and is deep enough that it would never pop off while using. Solid metal tool feels like it will hold up for a lifetime.

Excellent quality tool and very useful as a driver for pounding in rebar, etc. Seems pretty durable.

PROS: Perfect for power hammering in normal sized grounding rods and re-rods up to 3/4 inch in diameter, fits any SDS-MAX type tool chuck and makes fast work out of those time consuming rod pounding tasks.. Includes a decent peg boar hangable storage and cary case, this and durable metal for long term use. CONS: Works well in most soil conditions, but, like all tools, not so great in heavy or thick boney rock filled soils, (did better than expected in hard clay though as long as you sharpen the end of the rod first.) Metal is somewhat softer than some others and will mar and ding over time, it will round off the top of the rod a bit depending on rod diameters, but does much less damage than a mallet or sledge does.. Overall a great value and necessary addition to your hammer drill attachments collection, especially if doing a lot of electrical work. It's hammer time!

This ground rod hammer is a lot easier to use than a hammer, especially on Clay or Rocky soil. Fits well and releases well from my Milwaukee hammer drill. Good price and well made.

This is a quality tool. I opened it up to find a solid tool inside a nice plastic case that is threaded to open and close. Popped it in my inexpensive HF SDS Max rotary hammer and was driving rods into my hard heavy clay soil in no time flat. Same job would take forever and wear me out using a sledge.

The Rotary Hammer Drill SDS Max Ground Rod Driver Adapter for 5/8" & 3/4" Ground Rods – One-Piece Design, Compatible with most brands of rotary hammer drills works great with my Ryobi drill. It allows me to drive grounding rods, steel and rebar stakes in very quickly and with little effort. It's a tough driver rod that can take the heavy repetitive pounding from the drill time and time again. It only requires cleaning, lightly oiling it and keeping it in a dry place to maintain it. I'm very satisfied with the quality, durability and performance of the SDS Max Ground Rod Driver and consider it an excellent value!

This item shipped and arrived fast. This SDS Max ground rod driver adapter is a very well made tool of solid metal. I had no problem using this with a Dewalt SDS Max rotary hammer / drill. This is my new favorite tool. This tool makes life so much easier than trying to hammer ground rods into the ground and also trying not to bend them if you hit a hard spot in the earth. This tool pulverizes whatever you may hit in the ground. With this tool I was able to drive 8 ground rods in the ground effortlessly in a few hours over the course of a day. The tool still looks new other than a few scrapes and scratches. This tool is very functional for what it is designed to do and does it a lot faster than hammering. The cost of this tool is fair for the quality you get. I loaned this to a friend that is a contractor so he can use it over the course of building some new homes. He really likes the speed of the tool. I rated this item 5 stars

The GRD comes in a sturdy case with a threaded cover. I take good care of my tools and accessories and appreciate that the case is durable and reusable. The GRD is well-made, sturdy, and heavy. It is made to do one job, drive ground rods, and it does it well.I previously drove GR with a sledgehammer, the universal tool. This did the job but with effort and was likely to round the top of the GR. I can accept a rounded head, but I'm getting a bit old to keep pounding. This GRD should substantially limit the rounding of the GR AND it is much easier on my arm and shoulder. The success you will have driving GR will depend mainly on your SDS Max Rotary Hammer. The GRD should be able to handle anything you use it for.
