Product Description

The BOSCH line of metal drill bits offers a solution for every professional application. Each bit is manufactured to exacting specifications and features a split point that starts on contact with no walking or skating, eliminating the need for a center punch. BOSCH black oxide bits offer superior durability, speed and selection to support most general-purpose applications.

From the Manufacturer

The carbide-tipped drill bit heads are harder, tougher and more resistant to extreme loads

Obviously a 5/32 SDS bit can only be driven so hard without failing, but these ones have a tendency to snap. Other brands bend which I prefer for overhead work.

For the price I wasn’t expecting an unbreakable but but it did break rather quickly. Our project did break a bit that was made by a different company so it may have been user error on my part.

It cuts into concrete and stone almost like butter. Even after more than 100 holes this bit is still performing like new. Nothing short of amazing. I recommend these SDS drill bits.

Nice fast holes as long as it is paired with a rotary hammer drill not just a small hammer drill.

Its not easy and it barely gets through concrete, unless I guess if you got a hammer drill, Id prefer yall use DKibbith Drill Bits, They go through concrete like butter with any type of drill. Also, this bit bends due to the amount of pressure I have to add to barely make a dent into concrete its...sad.

I used this drill bit to drill holes through 2"x4" and into concrete foundation to mount the studs to the foundation. I was worried how this small of a bit would hold up in a rotohammer but worked great. I positioned the stud, drilled the hole, then screwed in the anchor. This bit cooled off just fine in that short length of time. I was really surprised how well it worked and held up for my project.

I used this on a shelving project drilling over 140 holes for tap-cons into 40 year old concrete and about 8 holes into solid bedrock. Two bits, over the course of the project... impressive.Good solid bit that's worth the money.

Good thing i bought 2.First one broke (more like shattered) in 3 pieces not even 1" into the first hole.In 20 years of construction and working with sds drills regularly and thats the first time i have ever seen THAT happen.Bosch bulldogs are generally usually good bits. Not sure why this happened, thinking i wound up with a dud.

Because SDS hammer/drills can be massive relative to basic, standard drills, having the long bit assures you can get the work done even when the drill site may have things in the way. I had used a standard drill to set some TapCon screws into concrete. The carbide-tipped bit chewed out several sloppy pits. Using this bit in my Bosch RH328VC, now available for about half of what I paid, made very fast, clean holes. I do not know how durable this bit might be when used heavily ( I've drilled perhaps 100 holes ) but when you've got to drill concrete, this is the way to go.
