You will need a good drill with this. The size of it makes it hazardous to work with most drills rated for concrete drills.

I needed a couple 1" holes in a brick wall for drain lines. Solid bit. it held up very well to the brick and cut a nice clean hole.

Drilled 16 1 1/4" 3 "inch deep holes. Bit and cutting surfaces still look good. Can't beat it for the price.

I have 3 holes to drill. I drilled one with this bit, and will have to purchase a different bit to do the other 2. The bit is literally curved. At the tip, It's off by 1/4 inch from centre... so drills a very messy hole that's 1/2" larger than I want it to be. Trying to drill that single hole, with that much wobble, was a pain. The fact that I require a much more precise hole than what it drilled is the kicker though. Unsure what to do as far as returns or contacting seller, since it's now a used item. Disappointed. I've genuinely never even seen a bit that wobbles anywhere close to this extent, but as it is it's pretty useless. Unless of course I wanted a 1-3/4" hole, then I could reach for this 1-1/4" bit.

I put this sds-plus drill bit into my hammer drill and it seemed like only a short while before I finished plunging a pair of ten-inch holes into concrete. Very pleased with its performance.

I drilled a hole almost 12" deep, through unusually hard concrete and this bit performed well with enough bite left to drill additional holes. As a general contractor for years, i would buy this again.

As a general contractor specializing in high-end, custom ICF home builds, we tend to drill into finished concrete quite a bit, due to unforseen customer changes, last minute additions, etc. Currently, we are working on an off-grid house, requiring much use of battery-powered tools. It's nice to have such a great-working, large-diameter bit that will fit in the smaller SDS plus chucks that many of the battery powered tools have. Generally larger bits have SDS max bits - the smaller bit size keeps us from having to fire up the generator to use the larger, electric rotary hammer. I've had plenty of bad experiences with inferior products and tools - this is not one of them! This bit does well on the concrete, and does comparatively well on the rebar as well (compared to other carbide bits on #4-5 rebar). And by the way, one bit will last quite a long time - that carbide tip doesn't wear out very quickly. Anyway, that's my $.02.
