This might work well for snowplows driving a normal speed but not on our rural road where people drive a little faster. After years of losing mailboxes to pick up trucks, work trucks, and drunk drivers, we were hoping this would be a good solution. In the last 6 months we have had to replace the mailbox 2 times and re-set the mailbox several times. The post and arm stay in tact but now the mailbox just flies further away with the ripped off mounting board.

I am happy with the kit , door on large mailbox sorta hits my truck door , keeping me too far back to be able to reach anything that's not right at the front. So the wife picks it up and even with a Jeep, has the same problem. Could make a bottom piece with something to grasp and pull out the mail with , I will when it's not so dang hot out !! Not that much we care about in the mail nowadays anywho.

The mailbox in this kit is junk. The package also arrived pretty beat up.

The product was exactly as promised. The only hard part was pounding the stake into the ground, which I was lucky enough to have done by a 6ft tall construction worker. I could never have done it myself.Ground too hard, even after lots of rain here. I am awaiting comment from my mail carrier.Only drawback was the latch on the mailbox did not hold it closed, so I had to bend the latch to make it work. Swings side to side as it should. Hope survives the 55MPH snowplow this winter!

Found that the video instructions for installation were easier/better than the printed instructions in the box. Was surprised that there were no maintenance or lubrication (or discouragement from lube) instructions either in the box or on line.

Great swing away feature. Instructions are straight forward. Very good quality. Able to mount post set back from road so hopefully it doesn’t get knocked over as easily as my prior 4 mailboxes have.
