This is a factory Ruger part with traditional screw fasteners. The center channel is definitely wide enough and low enough to allow full view of front iron sights when the optic is removed.

The rail conforms perfectly to the slightly convex surface of the mounting area. Had to hunt a long time to find a slotted screwdriver that was fat enough w/o being wider than the screw. Mounted a Monstrum lightweight high one-piece scope base; this part of the job was much easier since Monstrum uses star headed screws. Gave it 4/5 because they used slotted screws.

A real Ruger part, that fits like it is supposed to. No burs or misaligned holes, well built and done right. Just what I have come to expect from Ruger products. Shipping was fast as well.
