This clamp gets a zero for false advertising !!!!! It bills itself as a " mag clamp".....meaning the intended purpose is to secure the magazine tube to the barrel. Simply put.....it doesn't fit. I tried this with both a Mossberg & a Rem 870......the middle of the clamp is too thick to fit between the mag & barrel.This is better served as a flashlight attachment, which function it handles well. I don't like things hanging off my guns & prefer "quick attach" units when needed.........but if you wish to attach a flashlight , this will do the job quite well. It seems to be a well made sturdy unit which looks better on the gun than in the adv pic. The vendor needs to re-do the listing to state that it is for attachment purposes only.

I had no problem attaching this to my Stevens 320 tactical shotgun. And went to my range, and blew thru 25 rounds. No movement or light coming off. And the 320 carries one hell of a kick.

This is a great flashlight mount at a good price. I needed a flashlight mount for my 12 guage shotgun and decided to give this one a try and it fit perfectly. the flashlight I had seemed to big for the mount at first because I could not tighten it sufficiently around the barrel. the mount comes with two inserts for different size flashlights. Removing one of the inserts solved the problem, the unit is very secure and won't move after tightening. Perfect

i used this with a Lumentop tool AA 2.0 light that outputs 600 lumen , works perfectly ,note for installation , where the clamp mounts to the mag tube m use 2 small squares of double sided tape in between the clamp and the mag tube , this will prevent the clamp from twisting on the tube if its bumped or knocked around , also prevents any scratching...

Time will tell how well this mounting bracket works and holds up. It seems a little iffy in terms of staying in place so far - I have it clamped to my magazine extension tube and it seems to want to move around, even though I have tightened about as much as I dare. I may try adding a thin layer of rubber between the clamp and the mag tube to provide a better grip without damaging the finish on the tube. Probably adequate for homeowner use, but for law enforcement or military applications where you're sending a lot of rounds downrange, I'd go with a clamp that spans the barrel and mag tube and is more robust in construction. Not bad for the (low) price, I guess.
