Looks very nice, easy to install, good price, however, it says its guaranteed for 5 years and mine broke in 2 years, I have no way to reach out to the seller for a refund or a replacement.

Was easy to put up after we cemented the wood poles into the ground and mounted heavy duty screws into the house. We put one corner lower to help with evening shade and allow the water to flow off. We love how it looks, and the blue compliments the furniture. It has sagged more each day however, and when the wind picks up, it whips up and down. All in all, good value for the price until we can afford a fancy pergola with a metal roof.

I was building a pergola, I really needed to keep sun off of my vehicles in the driveway, the price of wood has tripled, and I really needed more shade than cross beams give on a pergola, so I built the frame of a pergola, but installed the sun sail, and it works great. I built it last summer and the sail is holding up great, I just wish it had a little more shade. Overall, very satisfied and I will buy again. If I had to do it again, I would have used metal poles instead of wood beams 6"x6", and attached one side to the house and 2 poles a few feet outside the driveway.Update: it's now fall of 2022, Sun Sail is holding up great, I expected to have to buy one every year, so far I'm very happy with this sail. I will buy another one someday, I might buy another the same size and double them up for more shade, but one keeps the cars cool enough.

I really like this shade sail. It is basically the same material as privacy fencing. If I was going to install it at an angle, I would prefer material that didn’t allow water to pass through, but as I installed flat (meaning the center droops slightly below the edges) it is important that water won’t sit on top. The perforated/woven material also allows wind to pass through. I used ratchet tie-down straps to hold the sail while I made my cable connections. This is only the sail and does not come with the hardware or cables, but I did not expect it to, so all good.

The Royal Shade shade sails are great. This is my second 16x16 square sail. I have one in the backyard for shade, and this one as passive cooling for the house. I will be adding a second one for passive cooling in the future. The second floor of my house is 2x4 walls with not enough insulation for South Florida. It easily gets to 90 upstairs by noon in the summer. I put the shade sail on the west side shading the house from the afternoon sun. There was a 4-5 degree difference in the afternoon in that room. I'm tempted to figure out how to shade the flat roof with one. I have had a few afternoon storms blow through, one being at least 65mph winds, it held up no problem. I have it anchored to a roof joist with 4- 3" long deck screws. At the bottom it is attached by chains and an electric fence tensioner to the chain link fence posts. Of course I will take it down for a hurricane.

I actually ordered this shade to cover my pond over a 'tent-like' frame setting to protect my koi from Herons and to reduce sunlight that stimulates algae growth in the water.The shade is a well made, strong, sturdy material that does an excellent job of blocking out direct sunlight and keeping the koi pond water free of debris (especially my cypress tree needles + cones). It also allows my koi to see through the shade to view the surrounding environment and garden.I am very happy with this purchase and would buy this shade again if needed. Nice quality and will be well used. Thanks!
