Installation
1. Choose the shape and size of your Waterproof Shade Sail based on your available poles or hardware options and the area you want to shade.
2. Use the adjustable turnbuckles or cable wires to make the shade sail taut. (For distances more than 1 foot between the shade sail and the Pad Eye, use cable wires to extend the connection.)
3. Ensure that each corner is in a high-low position to allow water to run off and prevent pooling.
- We recommend getting our hardware kits fro the best performance and appearance.
Waterproof
The fabric of the Waterproof Shade Sail has been treated with both waterproof coating and UV inhibitor, which make it suitable for blocking rain and sun.
During the installation, it is important to tilt the shade sail in a low-high position to prevent water from pooling on the surface.
Curved Edges
- We make our shade sails with slightly curved edges to keep them looking tight and prevent sagging in the middle. Let us know if you prefer straight edges instead.
(We also make customized order for straight edges.)
Stainless Steel D-Ring
- 314 stainless steel D-rings are attached to each corner for easy installation.
- We also reinforced each corner with extra stitching to maximize the strength and ensure long-lasting durability.
Reinforced Edge
- We reinforced all edges with heavy-duty double-layered stitching to prevent fraying and maintain their shape for longer.
UV Blocking
- The Waterproof Shade Sail is coated with both UV inhibitors and waterproof coating, providing excellent protection against up to 95% of harmful UV rays and keeping you dry during rainy days.

Purchased the bright yellow shade sail. Installation was a little difficult for me to do by myself but more time consuming. Once they were up had to make some adjustments but could immediately feel the difference in temperature.

Works well for the money. Got the 16x16x16. Provides shade and is waterproof over patio in the hot, rainy South. Must be angled slightly downward for water to flow off, obviously. Has held up well for over 2 months. Will be buying a rectangular one to keep hot sun off our west facing garage.

Very sturdy and decidedly waterproof. Still working on getting it set up so the water will drain off and it held probably close to 10 gallons of water at a low spot before I got it taunt enough.

We bought 2, they have worked great!You HAVE to get the right angle so as to not collect water.We tied them with wire to tries near by. They stayed up all summer, never leaked or came down.We had several wind storms, they did great.Remember, must get one corner up quite a bit to not trap water, test with a hose!!

We have other sun sails and wanted something with a splash of color. I wish it wasn't waterproof as the rain accumulates and it doesn't drain.
