Added this antenna to my antenna farm for my GMRS rig. Receives really clear and transmits very well also. Included clamps help with installation.

This antenna works great for GMRS frequencies and has consistently had a decent SWR. It's light enough that I'm able to float it 20' up in the air on a simple telescopic pole system. Only negative is that the overlay for the mounting tube only overlaps a bit over an inch. Would be much sturdier if it overlapped 3 or 4".

Really good little antenna. I use it as a base antenna for our Retavis GMRS repeater we use on our camper, and bought another to mount as a dual band antenna low mount for the house to replace the emergency antenna now. Very pleased with its performance.

Fist of all I tossed the mounting brackets. From all the complaints given here. The mounting sleeve was to small to put a lighting arrest on. Had a little trouble getting the swr down. But it was accomplished. Now that are all my complaints.A friend and I have talked 62 miles away. Using simplex to simplex. I have hit 2 repeater over 70+ miles away. It's a nice clear sounding antenna. I will give it 4 stars.

I’m talking on repeaters 40 nautical miles away extremely clear, reception is amazing. Will update later for the longevity. It seems to be a very well built antenna, the hardware is kinda questionable, I made sure to not over tighten. It’s 38ft high, lmr400 cable, 20w mobile.

This Retevis MA02 Antenna is very good Especially for the price. I would have to say that in order to beat the performance of this antenna you would need to run a Collinear Antenna. A beam would be better as well but directional. Tested this antenna on Analyzer which looked great. Also compared it to a homebrew 1/4 groundplane using copper wire and so-239 connector and a Arrow Open stub Jpole. I used a field strength meter. This Retevis antenna put off the strongest signal and most uniform. And not only does that antenna look great on test equipment it also works very well with my RT97 repeater and some KMR400 coax.I seen these for over 100$ on amazon and ebay. I was scared it would be a knock off but it is not!Very happy.Update. This antenna is only good for 400MHz. On 2 meter it shows a good match but is just a dummy load. it does not do well at all on 2 meters
