The magnets are very weak for vehicle use

Well the antenna would blow over with a mile per hour breeze or so. So I peeled off the vinyl cover and popped out the so called magnet and replaced with a rare earth magnet and jb welded in and superglue the vinyl cover back on now it doesn’t move at 100 mph on the roof of my pickup 😎

GoodThe antennas I have had a low SWR. But because these are inexpensive antennas I would recommend checking your antenna before using it. I am able to hit a repeater that is 16 mi away. Receives and transmits way better than a rubber ducky. Good if you can't afford more money or are not a radio head.BadNot the best build quality but what can you expect for $6.50 a piece. The magnetic bass is small. It held up the antenna on a friend's Ford pickup at 80 mile an hour. But on my car I could not get above 55 without it falling over. To fix the falling over issue on my car I 3D printed a base with magnetics in it and that fixed my issues. I have gone 85 Plus without it falling off with the 3d printed base.I like it, works okay for me I think it's a good place to start for not much money. Sure beats the rubber ducky. Before these antennas me and my buddy could not communicate in town more than half a mile with the rubber duckies. These antennas fixed that. We can reach to both ends of our small town now. We were able use them to speak to my friend's brother on the tractor 1.8 MI away 1 mi of which was in town and his father 5.6 mi away from on top of a hill in the country.

Antennas definitely improve signal strength and allow communication that was not possible before. The draw back is the magnet in the base is not strong enough to keep antenna upright on a moving vehicle. The remedy was to purchase disk magnet much stronger to attach to the bottom but this was an additional cost. Overall, the quality is okay and reception is great but figure in spending a little more on strong magnet if you plan to use on vehicle. Extra note: The antennas work great in the house and increase your receive and transmit signal. This is awesome as I don’t need to go to one side of the house to use radio or near a window.
