I’ve been running core drills for many years, and didn't know what to expect from this 6" bit. Definitely exceeded my expectations. It cut through bar easily, stayed sharp, and didn’t overheat like others I’ve used recently. The cuts were nice and smooth, didn't find any blow out on the holes I drilled. Seems durable as well, it showed minimal wear after a full day on-site. Would highly recommend!

This is an excellent core drill bit. I’ve been cutting concrete for 21 years, and these are some of the best I’ve ever encountered. They’re also very durable and can hold up to drilling a lot of holes.

This drill/ corer bit has a nice thick diamond tip, about 1/4" thick walls and 1/2" deep, so this should last a good long while. The bit chucks up nicely and is straight with the threads on my machine. no complaints!

As shown in the pictures, this item is intended for use with a core drilling rig that a large contractor might have, not with the homeowner, home improvement hobbyist in mind. Thanks to another reviewer, "Sergio G.", for alerting me that this requires an uncommon, extra long 5/8" threaded adapter. Shopping on Amazon I did find a few SDS-plus shank adapters that fit the bill, that would work with my rotary hammer drill. I could not find any adapter with extra long 5/8" arbor to a 1/2" drill chuck, but you could make one by cutting off the end.. Also I appreciate the creative solution offered by reviewer "Ben", who used a 7/8" deep socket with a drill adapter. This angle grinder (https://www.amazon.com/WEN-944-7-Amp-Angle-Grinder/dp/B01FJLKS1K) did the job, the 5/8" shank being long enough. I use a speed controller to slow it down. The optimum speed for this size (1-1/4") is around 1500 RPM. Another, simple solution is to cut off a common 5/8" bolt, put a stop nut on it, and insert threaded end into the core drill and the non-threaed shank into your drill chuck. If you are lucky your 1/2" chuck might go the extra 1/8" to take a 5/8" shank. Otherwise you would need to turn it down, if you are lucky to have access to a lathe.Follow up: I may have found one, 5/8" threaded arbor to 1/2" drill chuck adapter:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01F4IQTMA/?coliid=I3UTPUUXK83DNMI asked on Amazon and received a reply:Q: how long is the 5/8" thread? E Diamond Tools answered: "For this particular SKU, the threaded portion is just under 25 mm long."
