These are sturdy thick plates, not the cheap flimsy bamboo looking ones. They have a natural wood look with the various streaks of color on the plates, so not all of them look the same color. Overall though, they are a pale shade of tan with darker brown streaks. The 10" was huge! Bigger than I expected and is perfect size for party dinner plates. The 7" is definitely smaller and fit for desserts or hors d'oeuvres. They are packaged in 2 sets of 25 plates each and unboxing them had a strange smell.

i appreciated that the plates were made of bamboo and disposable, but they were much smaller than I expected. 9" square is much different than round plate.Ended up not using them.

We used these for a party and served pasta with pesto, quiche in crepe cups, fruit salad and a bunch of other things that can be messy, every single plate held up! No mess, no leakage and easily took it to our compost. There was no weird odor, they looked beautiful and the price was great so all around amazing plates that can hold up a lot of stuff without being made from paper or plastic!

My first time ordering these. I'm trying to make small changes to our habits which are better for our environment. I decided to give these a shot to help save some trees and something compostable.I was hesitant ordering due to bad reviews talking about mold and such. I'm really picky about mold.These arrived a few weeks ago. Today, I finally opened to use for the first time. There was zero mold in the package. There were some plates with some coloration irregularities. This I expected due to the natural composition.These plates are extremely sturdy and did very well with our heavy steaks and fixings.Only thing that surprised me a little was it seemed a little weak under the section where the very hot rice and beans were placed. I thought it would leak. Nope, not one leak. Held up nicely during the meal.I almost hate to toss them. But they are for our everyday "disposable " use.Excellent experience and product. I wholeheartedly reccomend.
