I love this plate more than I should. It’s a good size and doubles as a bowl. You can chop on it plus it’s sturdy.

I loved this plate. I never thought such a simple thing would make a huge difference, but the few additional ounces in my pack really made things easier when at camp and even on the trail for lunch. The handle made it super easy to hold. I really liked how the bottom didn’t get hot when hot food was in it. It was the perfect size and had just the right amount of lip at the edge. It is super sturdy as compared to other cheap camping plates out there.

Broken when delivered. This is meant for outdoor and if it can’t survive a shipping...

Good size, feels sturdy. I've been trying to trim down my camping supplies and go plateless, but it just wasn't working. This one is good and seems quite versital. That thumb hold thing works better than expected as well.

Great car-camping plate!Excellent rigidity, and easy one-hand holding while eating. It shows wear easily, scratches and such, but it's camping mess kit, not fine china.4 instead of 5 because the bottom of it has a 'grid' matrix of plastic, which tends to retain any mess, water, dirt.. If someone stacks this in other dirty plates, it's a real pain to get all the gunk out of the bottom side. That will consume precious wash-water and some elbow grease to scrub it all out. I'd much rather have a smooth bottom that doesn't hold onto someone else's chili.

Ordered these plates to add to my backcountry kayak trips kitchen gear. The Cookset I ordered from REI didn't come with plates, so I ordered these after being on a trip without plates! Glad to have these and they work flawlessly. Easy to grip and hold onto. Great size to use as well as tall sides to keep things flopping out of it onto the ground. Very satisfied with the performance of the Delta Plate as well as the shipping was quick, too!

It would appear that the Sea to Summit plates and bowls are NOT microwavable, which I think is a problem. I have several bowls and plates, and have microwaved food in them and had problems. If I had to guess, the plastic has bits of metal which heat up and produce melted and bubbled areas in the plastic. Very unusual, as I have never seen this in a plastic kitchenware implement. The labels should have a warning that you should not use these in a home situation, where microwaving may occur. It is strictly for primitive camping, where titanium is not needed.

I've used my Delta plate camping three times now and I have absolutely no complaints. It's light enough, considering its size and stability; it holds messy camp food well, with its deep lip; it cleans up quickly; it clips on to my pack or the drying line easily. Now I'm trying to decide if I need the matching bowl or not (the deep lip makes the plate serviceable for stews and such already). I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a solid camping/backpacking/picnicking plate.

I am leaving the same review for the Delta plate and bowl. Forgive me for being expedient. These pieces are not for the ultra-light hiker who wants nothing larger than a potato chip can lid for a plate or who uses a thimble for a cup/bowl. But if you want light weight (not ultra-light) and don't want to sacrifice comfort, this is a great set. Both the bowl and plate share some key features -- the thumb grip with a hole for a carabiner (which I used to clip the two together and then to the outside of my pack), the honeycomb pattern to regulate heat and weight and the nylon construction.I considered a collapsable set, but I am very happy with this choice for light weight and durability. This isn't surprising. Sea to Summit makes great gear. Both can get hot if filled with very hot food, but so can any dish. Both also clean up nicely after use. What else is there to say? Great price, solid construction, perfectly acceptable weights, great design that makes a caribiner make sense. If you want something that disappears in your backpack, look elsewhere, though.Dollar for dollar, a very good set. I am glad I purchased them both.
