After paying a plumber and having new sillcock installed, noticed a slight dribble coming from the handle. The exact reason I was having it replaced! The plumbing was old so I figured if I was going to do it, I might as well spring for the good stuff. Buyer beware. Everything looked good until it was installed. When I took it apart to try and see what was going on, I noticed a mess of corrosion on the inside. Bought two and the other seems ok, fingers crossed. Make sure you take them apart and inspect before you install. Save yourself the headache!! Unbelievable to sell damaged plumbing equipment.

replacing an old hose bib. this was easy to install. I got a shark bite adapter to attach to PEX..I love that you barely have to turn the knob to turn the water on and off. Hopefully it will last.

I was surprised to see that with the valve open, the stem drips a little. I'll be looking for documentation to see if tightening what appears to be the packing nut is acceptable and possibly a fix. Otherwise, operation is great.

Over the last several years I have had to replace other brands of Outdoor Faucets that I have purchased at the big box stores. In general, they last about two years. The problems are always the same, even though they are from different manufactures. They start to leak, or they won't turn off. Each time I go back, it's a different brand, and they don't sell the parts. Every winter, the hose is disconnected, and the lines are drained, as I have a shut off inside the house. So I go beyond what needs done. This year again, I was unable to get the water to stop as a tab on the ceramic piece inside cracked. This faucet uses the good old technology, just a simple rubber washer. And if you need "parts" for it, they are available here on Amazon. And best of all, the flow of water is much much better. The opening that allows the water to pass through the valve is much larger compared to those ones with the 1/4 opening in the ceramic plate. Very happy I found this, and expect to last a very long time. If not, I'll update this post.
