The bale fit inside a small box. Almost enough needles to cover a 6ft square area at an inch in depth. Man did i just get screwed. Buyer beware!

This cost way too much for way too little. I was being lazy, but this was certainly not worth the price - even for the convenience.

The size was decent for the price. Note that the "Pine straw" is not like the kind you feed cows and see on the barn floors - which is what I was expecting. It is instead the kind of wirey, 'solid' kind of pine that you would find in a broom, very rigid and not hollow. It sticks in dense clumps as you pull on it, but it is again very tense and doesn't want to break/spread apart too easily. Because of that it tends to stay clumped and takes a bit of doing to 'spread' around the area your placing in.

Sonetimes in a smaller town things like this are hard to find, always slower to catch up with the times. But now I dont have to search in vain. Great product, great price. And shipped on time. My chickens are happy.. lol
