To Maximize Effectiveness

1. Apply in Good Weather: Ambient temperature should remain above 68°F, and humidity below 60% for 48 hours before and after application, with no exposure to rain. Since it's water-based, rain can dilute the glue, weakening the bond strength.
2. Clean & Dry Base: Before applying the mulch glue, ensure the mulch or stone is dry, clean, and free from moisture, mud, oil, or dust. Use it on a well-draining and compacted base, as contaminants can weaken the bond between the stones.
3. Shake Before Use: Shake the liquid well before use to ensure its uniformity and prevent nozzle clogging. Spray/pour continuously or inintervals of no more than 5 minutes to prevent nozzle blockage especially on hot days.
4. For a More Robust Finish: Apply 2 or 3 thin coats of mulch glue for the strongest finish, allowing the first coat to dry for 24 hours or until fully dry before applying the next. A thick layer may result in improper curing, causing white/blue residue.
5. Long-Lasting Effect: Mulch glue typically remains effective for one year. It's recommended to reapply it to your garden after the winter season for added reinforcement. Use within 6 months after opening. May turn white when exposed to rain, but will become transparent again after dry.

Commonly problems you may encounter:

  • Why isn't the mulch glue working well?

First, apply the mulch glue in warm (above 68℉) and dry (humidity below 70%) weather conditions for a continuous period of 3 days, avoiding its use in rainy or high humidity conditions. Second, ensure that the base material is dry, clean, and devoid of moisture, mud, oil, or dust. Finally, apply 2 or 3 thin coats of mulch glue for the strongest finish, allowing the first coat to dry for 24 hours before applying the next.

  • How can I prevent the mulch glue from clogging my sprayer?

Shake well before use to ensure uniformity. Dilute the glue with 20% water for pouring or 50% water for spraying. Apply using a watering can with multiple holes or an electric pump sprayer. Clean the equipment promptly after use to prevent nozzle clogging. During application, spray or pour continuously, or intermittently for no more than 5 minutes at a time, especially on hot days, to avoid nozzle blockage. If the ambient temperature exceeds 77°F, drying may accelerate. In such cases, dilute with approximately 10% more water to prevent clogging.

  • White/blue residue after drying?

Our mulch glue initially appears light blue when sprayed due to light reflection, but it becomes clear after drying. Also, applying the glue too thickly at once may cause improper curing, leading to an opaque color and white/blue residue. We recommend applying multiple thin coats instead. More, extended exposure to standing water from rainfall can also lead to the formation of white residue. Applying the glue in warm, dry weather may resolve it.

  • How long does the bonding effect of mulch glues last?

Our rock glue typically lasts for about 12 months before requiring reapplication, although this timeframe may vary depending on the climate and other factors. It's recommended to reapply it to your garden after the winter season to provide additional reinforcement.

  • Does it work for rubber mulch?

Sure, this mulch glue works for all types of mulch. Before use, please ensure that the rubber mulch is dry, clean, and free from moisture, mud, oil, or dust. Finally, apply 2 or 3 thin coats of mulch glue for the strongest finish, allowing the first coat to dry for 24 hours before applying the next.

This mulch glue helps to keep mulch put in small areas. The glue doesn't "freeze" everything in place, it just helps to keep it from blowing everywhere when working in the area or using a lawn blower. If you blow directly on the mulch, it would still move. The bottle is enough to do a small area. It does not go a long way. If you want to do a large area, you might look for a larger quantity.

Product works well. Instructions are easy to follow and I like that you can use it in a sprayer. Slight discoloration after a rain but not enough to bother me. Holding up well and good quality. Purchased more.

Very strong and durable glue that is great for use around the yard on landscape rock and gravel. I love using this stuff as it helps keep everything in place when leaf blowing. I use it on larger rock, it works well but not for areas with heavy foot traffic. I am sure it works even better for smaller gravel.

This is a great product for helping secure loose mulch. We always get some mulch run off in a couple areas when it rains hard. We sweep it back up but it keeps getting moved into the grass and sidewalk. This helps secure it as a mulch together as bigger chunk and doesn’t move.Make sure it is dry during application and the mulch is dry and no rain for atleast a day after so it can dry and see properly,

I used this to manage a flower bed with rubber mulch. I mixed the glue with water as specified and sprayed it on with a pump sprayer. It does a good job of keeping the mulch together.

Despite my first skepticism, this mulch adhesive is quite effective! Even after intense rain and wind, it held everything in place wonderfully when I placed it on the tiny pea gravel in my plant beds. It doesn't leave a sticky residue, dries clear, and applies simply with a sprayer. I particularly appreciate that, once dried, it is safe for plants and dogs, so I didn't have to worry about my dog or my garden. The product dries fully clear after applying a subtle tint that makes it easier to see where you've applied it. This is essential if you're sick of raking your gravel or mulch back into place all the time! For a neat, low-maintenance yard, I recommend.

2 layers of glue and rocks no longer move it took an additional 3rd layer on rubber mulch to seal it enough to be able to blow leaves off without it going everywhere

Works amazing on rocks but not as good on rubber mulch. It does seal but if it's stepped on it releases which defeats the point of it. It takes 3 coats to work well on rubber mulch
