I bought over 6 of them as gifts for family. Specifically to make my aunts Italian noodles for a soup. They work great.

I have been making mashed potatoes for over half a century. I always used a hand mixer; my potatoes were good. No complaints...However, I needed a recipe for a funeral buffet that allowed the mashed potatoes to be reheated the next day. The recipe recommended using a potato ricer. I ordered the Sopito potato ricer on Amazon. Immediately, I was impressed with the construction of the product - a heavy weight stainless steel that would really last. When I riced the potatoes, there was an improvement in the texture. The riced potatoes were far fluffier than those made with an electric mixer. Moreover, they reheated beautifully the next day, keeping that fluffy texture. After use, the ricer was easy to clean. From now on, I'll be using the ricer to make mashed potatoes.

Never had a product like this in my Family. Never knew it existed bc I did not cook until recently. However, there are three things that I love about it :1) It is very well made2) It's stainless steel3) It is practical & an asset to any kitchen.. including my kitchenThat's saing a lot bc I adore workhorses in my kitchen. This will give you the smoothiest mashed potatoes every single time. Also, used it on Sweet Potatoes, Yuca & Plataño Mashes. Versatile. Highly Recommend.

I hate wasting mead when racking off of the fruits. I bought this on a chance it would extract more must from the fruit before composting. It was a bit of work but I salvaged about a bottle of mead from the cherries. The fluid was very murky and took extra time to settle, and even a second racking off the lees but I'm satisfied with the results. It took several loads but the press was both cheaper and easier to store than a wine press. Less pulp also than using a masticating juicer.

It broke the first time I used it. The rivet in the handle broke. I should’ve returned it, but it was an easy fix so I repaired it and now it’s better than it was before. I use it about once a week and my mashed potatoes have never been this smooth.

This thing fell apart on the first use. I'm not sure what process was used for attaching the piston, but it looks as the arm and the plate that pushes the potatoes was just glued to each other. I pushed one potatoes and it arm came off it. In addition, the edges on this tool are sharp and it's very uncomfortable to use. I had to throw it away since I accidentally threw away the box.
