I have had poorly made mashers in the past that lack the strength you need to get the job done. I most recently have had a plastic one that is a nightmare to clean after using! This silver and steel masher is one of the best I have seen on the market. The handle is easy to grip, and the handle is long enough to use in a very large mixing bowl. You can use this masher for many things beyond potatoes so consider adding it to your kitchen tools drawer!
