Large size, can filter a lot of water. No complaints. I have several sizes of bags that I take, depending on the type of camping I am doing.

Note the other reviewers, this kit only comes with bags. There is a quick connect on the dirty bag but the clean bag is capless.

These are my preferred water containers given price/weight/usability/durability trade offs.Pros: light and compact, works with Sawyer filtersCons: The way the bag hangs on the strap causes the ziploc like top closer to want to come open. I will probably 3D print a bracket that is light and holds the bag properly. The Platypus bags and bottles are hard to dry. My Camelback dries in 6 hrs. These took longer.

For the price they should be including a cap for the clean bag as shown. It's not even clear in the description it doesn't come with it. And they don't make it easy to find the cap with the nozzle on it. Half the reason I wanted this was for the really easy backwashing to keep my filter clean

You get: one dirty bag with female quick connector (no male) and one clean bag with no cap whatsoever - just a threaded opening. You need to also buy the GravityWorks Replacement Hose kit for the cap and elbow fitting for the clean bag and the male elbow quick connector for dirty bag. It also comes with: one long hose (cap and male elbow elbow fitting on the one end with shut off clamp) and one short hose with male quick connect elbow fitting.

Disappointed that there isn't a cap with fitting on it. For the money I would expect to get a cap on the clean bag. It's shown in multiple photos. But not included?

Used this for a gravity system with sawyer water filter. It works perfectly and 2L is perfect size for 1-2 people. Less weight and easier to fill then other bladders. Can not squeeze hard or the zipper opens up.

I use this as a dirty water bag with a DIY gravity filter based on a Sawyer mini and I LOVE it. I did replace the strap/buckle with 1.8mm Reflect It cord with a brummel loop splice and a dutch hook to reduce the bulk and because the strap seemed to hold water when wet. The wide mouth opening makes scooping up water from a shallow source really easy and the placement of the outflow means you can easily get most or all of the water out, easier than a bladder that has the outflow located on the front face (like most CamelBak bladders do). Platypus does make a 4L version of this but it's unnecessarily large and bulky. Normally I don't need more than 2L of water at a time and if I do I'd rather just fill up the dirty bag twice

This bag is the sorta soft and "stretchy" material found in the PlusBottle. Much better than the "krinkly" stuff Platy makes the regular 2liter soft bottles out of. I use it as a squeeze bag for the Sawyer Mini (or gravity-feed for same when I have time). Works great, as the zip closure allows the bottle to be filled in one dip, and hasn't come open despite much squeezing. I had to buy a male CPC fitting (search AZ for "Katadyn Quick Fill Adaptor") and re-purpose some hose, but now I can dip the bag, do some hookups, walk away, and come back to a filled 2l clean bottle. I have filtered about 20l using this system so far.FYI- Sawyer uses industry standard threads which match water and soda bottles, whereas Platypus uses proprietary threads on their Soft- and Plus-bottles (to lock you into buying their caps etc). That's why I bought this bag and connectorized it to feed the Sawyer: the 2l SoftBottle wouldn't seal against the standardized threads on Sawyer filters.

I parced out a gravity fed kit versus purchase an entire one because I did something slightly different with it. I didn't need a clean bag, and wanted the tubes to flow directly from the filter to a Platypus Plus Bottle. We carried two of the Plus Bottles, and this worked perfect for our travels through central/south america for the last 8 months. It is compact, light, no pumping required, no iodine or chlorine, gravity fed, and fills a liter bag in less than 2 minutes. Here are the parts we purchased to make the kit work:- Platypus GravityWorks 2.0L Reservoir "Dirty" (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AZVMS72/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_33)- Platypus GravityWorks Hose Kit (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00453ULP2/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_32)- Platypus GravityWorks Filter Cartridge (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00453ULCA/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_35)- Platypus Plus Bottle 1L (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002EQDP96/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_43)- Platypus Drinking Tube Kit (https://www.amazon.com/Platypus-07045-Drinking-Tube-Kit/dp/B000J2H8OA/ref=sr_1_2?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1466879474&sr=1-2&keywords=platypus+drink+tube)The Plus Bottles took abuse, and were fantastic due to:- having a loop for a carabiner or hook to hang- water wouldn't 'glug' out of the bottle as with a rigid plastic bottle when it needs to fill with air, as this didn't need to refill with air- it took up only as much room in a bag as you had fluid in it, as you could compress the air out of itThe down side to the system:- the bottles are difficult to clean, especially in third world countries where you can't find the typical items to clean them and due to it having a small opening- the bottles are showing sign of destruction (after much abuse) where the bag is adhered to the openingI would absolutely purchase this system and all parts again for lightweight traveling - it was perfect and saved money when we didn't have to purchase bottled water.

I'm using this, along with some extra tubing and a couple of connectors, with my Sawyer squeeze filter and Camelbak reservoir. It works really well and it's lightweight and effortless other than carrying the water. As I already had the filter, this was an easy way to get a hands-free gravity setup. While others were pumping water through their filters this weekend, I just filled the bag, connected it to the Camelbak via the filter and tubing, hung it up, and let it work.
