wegen dem Reißverschluss war ich ein wenig skeptisch, hat aber den großen Vorteil dass man den Beutel besser reinigen kann.

I really like these more than the traditional CamelBak hydration bladders. They are easier to clean and dry. However, they leak and the zipper has opened on me. Mine leaks right where the zipper closes, so a workaround for me is that I always keep it upright when filled, and then there is minimal leakage. I have had on one occasion, the zipper completely split open in the middle of a run. All of a sudden my ankles were getting wet like running through sprinklers and I immediately took off the pack and was able to pull the zipper back to the unzipped position and then rezip it closed. I lost probably a quarter liter of water as it spilled out, but luckily there was still enough water to finish my run. So you choose, easier to clean and dry vs. risk of leaks and losing water?!?!?

The Fusion bladder is easy to use, fill and clean. You just zip it open, put it under a water spout, fill and zip closed. Then plug in a hose, slip the bladder into any holder, and you are ready to go. For cleaning I just fill it with a chlorine bleach solution for ten minutes and rinse thouroghly. One tip: be sure the slide (zipper) is completely closed or it's likely to leak all over.I gave it 4 stars for durability because after about 22 months of constant use the slide broke as I was pulling it closed. 22 months is very good, but not perfect.I use a military grade insulated hose and mouth piece with cover, in all weather, and have been very satisfied.

I purchased this to bring on a week long hiking trip. I haven't had a CamelBak before this.I found this easy to fill and was just the right size to fit in my smallish Osprey Daylite pack. The 2L capacity was perfect for me.Zero leaks. No bad plastic taste even on the first use.I have no idea how to effectively clean this. After rinsing everything out and hanging the pack over a glass to keep the pouch open, it dried in 1 day. The hose still has moisture in it after 1 week.

I bought this to compare with an Osprey 3L. I was going to keep the Osprey but decided to try out the CB just for good measure. I was skeptical about the CB zipper, it looks like a huge risk factor, especially as the rubber ages and stops being completely water tight. But it doesn't seem to leek right now, I tested two of them and they simply don't leak at all, which is shocking at a bit of a magic trick in my opinion. Time will tell if they remain leak free, but hopefully that will be many years away and I will gladly buy a replacement. What did shock me was that the Osprey leaked! It seemed to be coming from under the blue handle, not from the fold-over closure at the top. Assuming this was a fluke, I will contrast the two and tell you why I would have kept the CB anyway.First the CB seems a bit flatter when filled to 3L, while the Osprey was round like a barrel. In a multi-day pack full of gear, I need the bladder to be reasonably flat against my back. Both however have a nice plastic backing that will keep them from bunching up or sagging inside the pack.Second, the CB is easier to fill. It has a handle on the back which opens the mouth wide using a single hand, allowing your other hand to do the pouring. You could easily do this inside the pack and save the effort of unpacking while on the trail. The Osprey has a smaller opening that doesn't stay open by itself since the top wants to fold over.Third, that larger opening in the CB zipper makes it a breeze to wipe out with a paper towel, and stays open easily for drying out. I can't get my hand inside the Osprey, and it's harder to air dry through that tight opening. Speaking of drying, both have removable hoses with valves that close while the hose is off, which is fantastic. However the CB hose completely comes off, so you can clean and dry the entire hose separately. The Osprey has a section of hose that remains attached to the bladder, and I'm not sure how I would go about drying that section after a trip.Fourth, a minor comment that the CB bite valve has a very obvious on/off handle. If it's in your way, it's off. The Osprey valve twists and it's not clear which way is on or off. It would require careful inspection to find the microscopic icon of water droplets which I believe represents "on". With the CB you can tell right away and avoid any mishaps of soaking your gear or flooding the back of your car.So CamelBak changed my decision due to it's excellent design. Not to mention the Osprey leaked, which isn't by itself a problem, but implies there is a risk of future leaking even if I got a replacement that didn't leak initially. Fingers crossed that CB zipper stays in-tact, and if so it's my new favorite hydration pack!

I had an old camelback reservoir that was "twist lock" lid. Had to tighten THE F*** out of that lid to not leak . Was worried I would break it, but my dog decided to chew off the mouth piece.Anyways the zipper lid is so much easier to close that alone is worth it. Haven't used it long enough to see durability, so I will try and update after a years use.The lock on the mouth piece is... not really needed.Oh, and this fits an old camelback capo which is what I put it in... with the 2.0L reservoir. Larger one might fit.

I have always used a camelback for hiking since I was a young kid. And the screw lids were always a pain. This thing is amazing. It’s so nice for putting in ice or stuff and it’s great. I want to get more sizes for different hikes and for my partner because it’s just so much easier to clean and maintain. The other benefit is the screw lids sometimes require you to make them super tight so they don’t leak and then are a struggle to get open. I use it in a variety of bags but mainly my lowepro camera bag it’s a aw 11 I think and the carrier works well to hold onto the bottle. Can’t say enough good things about this thing!
