We took a pizza baking class in Milan, and we were shocked to find out industrial pizza ovens burn crazy hot, cooking at 700-800 degrees Fahrenheit. But I love the pizza, so I scouted around for a tabletop oven that could hit that temperature. This little Piezano really does the trick! So far it's been:- Easy to use.- HOT! Carmelizes the top and bottom of the pizza nicely.- Feels well made. Some cons:- It dumps heat into the room. Our kitchen is fairly big and airy, and it gets noticeably hotter.- Smokes sometimes when ingredients burn. The temperature is crazy high, so things burn fast. Just be ready to ventilate your room and probably know where your fire extinguisher is.We've had pizza for something silly like 5 nights in a row, I've just been so excited to try out my new oven :D It's great! Highly recommend.

This unit is moderately priced but lacks a timer to limit the baking time. Also, it might be good to have a slowly rotating platter to evenly expose the pie to the heating element in the lid like some other units. Not a big issue, but it would be an improvement. One other thing that is an issue and that is the stone is very difficult to clean when you try to remove burnt coatings. You can't put it in water to soak the coatings. Scraping with anything metal can damage the surface. There is a burnt smell each time you use it due to what is imbedded into the surface from previous uses. I am not happy with the way the stone is made.
