Sturdy. Looks good. Comes in short pieces which gives you little connection ridges as you move up/down.I installed and kept it

Looks nice. The middle part should be reimagined. We keep hurting ourselves on it.

Replaced with our old wooden one. This one is perfect. Not only the quality, easy to clean with just wipes. Even kids are leaning on it, it doesn’t move- very sturdy.

BEST THING ABOUT IT: very sturdyADDITIONAL LIKES: painted, comes with end brackets, length can be adjusted, three spoke reinforcementWORST THING ABOUT IT: could use center bracketADDITIONAL DISLIKES/CONCERNS: noneWARRANTY: none statedCOMMENTS (Function, Appearance, Quality): Acquired this to use to hang clothes to donate until the donation can occur. I hung it from the joists behind the drywall of the sloped ceiling in the attic above my shop. The brackets are made of heavy aluminum and there are two end caps with the 5’ length. There are 3 (~16”) sections to make the first 48”, then a shorter 5th piece to go on the end to extend the length to 60”. Since 60” is not equally divisible by 16, I had to stopp at the 48” mark to ensure joist contact. There is just enough clearance for the hangers to be hung. This particular rail is sturdy enough to hold a large number of clothes at that width. As far as using it as a stair-rail, I recently installed a pine wall rail on the staircase in the shop. I would much rather have purchased the same length of this railing as (since it comes with brackets) it is as inexpensive as pine but feels much stronger. This is a stair-rail people could use with confidence if mounted securely.MARKETING vs REALITY GRADE: B (images may leave one with the impression there is a middle bracket with the 5’ length, but text does clearly state otherwise; a detail I missed)MOST SUITABLE FOR: functional staircase rails, or clothes hanger rod (?)IS IT WORTH IT?: Definitely. Unless you are looking for the ‘wood look’, this is cheaper than oak and about the same price as pine + brackets, but is much more sturdy.*PRECISE RATING: 4RECOMMENDATION: If you need handrails in a non-commercial setting, I’d definitely buy these. They look good and are quite strong.(As always, I will report back if there are any durability issues with additional use.)PHOTO INFO (photos are loaded in order, but may be rearranged when finally posted):1) Components as shipped2) Using stair rail as clothing rodOn a personal note, I try to cover everything I think one might like to know about each product, especially something not covered in the listing. So, I hope you found something informative and useful in this review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. Good luck with your decision.*Rating scale:5 = definitely buy again, happy to have it (exceptional in several characteristics,)4 = probably buy again (decent job of doing what I need, excels in one or two characteristics)3 = perhaps buy again after researching options (functions OK, looks OK, decent quality, average life expectancy but no outstanding characteristics) (in other words, average)2 = would not buy again (low end/below average merchandise and/or service, but not totally worthless)1 = sorry I bought it the first time (poor performance in several characteristics, no redeeming characteristics)Characteristics considered: Presentation/Packaging, Quality, Craftsmanship, Materials, Functionality, Utility/Versatility, Instructions, Ease-of-Use, Comfort, Value.

We recently went to the parade of homes in our area. We saw the trend of black round pipe for many of the house's stairs. So we are right in the trend since we're using black accents in the house we're remodeling.I do like to get our own hardware that is heavy duty because often times the stuff that comes with them isn't the best quality. We're about done with the remodel and the railings look great!
