I shopped around for several days actually trying to find a decent price on a quality base. I was doing a budget build around a Christensen Action and trying to save a few bucks here and there. I bought 2 bases from different maker and the quality difference was amazing as there other one was "cast" and not machined and it didnt look very good compared to this one. Fit and finish was perfect. Not one single problem with it and looks good holding up that Big Ole 5 X 25 - 56.

Fit a model 721 Remington perfectly. Had to shorten one screw a little but that's standard practice for installing bases. This rail is very nicely made and finished. From a quick boresighting it appears the rail is aligned very well to the bore. This allowed me to mount a modern short scope on this old long action rifle. I would recommend.

Attachment holes line up but had to use old scope attachment screws to install. Worth the purchase
