All of my cats seem to like this groomer the best. I've tried a lot of different brushes/combs. This is only one they really stick around long enough to allow me to groom them with. Other brushes I think were too rough for them.

I've got a couple long-furred cats, and this "brush" takes more fur out of their undercoats per stroke than any other brush I've ever used. It works well on my short-furred cat as well, but where it shines is the long-furred animals.

I have a 12 year old Black Lab Mix she has been shedding up a storm these past few weeks. I have used different deshedding brushes for years this is the best one I have ever used! Highly recommend this buy it and buy your friends one too. This thing is awesome!

One of my cats, the one with medium hair, was developing a terrible knot of hair on his back. It was sticking out an inch and getting harder and harder. I was afraid I'd have to take him to the vet...and that is not easy to do for this cat. I understand that if knots grow big enough they require shearing...an awful process for the cat.But I watched a video (by another manufacturer) about the process for removing knots. It's good to use a regular brush first, but to get out knots you need a specialized dematting tool like this.I was amazed at how easy it was to remove the know using this tool. I figured it might takes days of hacking at it, if I cat wouldn't run away first.But instead, I had the knot out in less than a minute, and my cat patiently endured the grooming and loved me for doing it.

I bought this hoping that it would keep my long-haired cat from getting matted and remove his undercoat and keep him from shedding so much. It works great on my short-hair cat, but is pretty much useless for the long-hair one.

I have a retriever/malamute mix. Shedding is bad but as the weather warms up the shedding is ridiculous.So glad I tried this rake brush! So much better than the brush I’d been using.It works really well (especially at getting all that loose under coat) and he looks forward to daily brushing.It gets so much hair!
