I have yet to use this with pellets, but it also serves a couple of other handy functions. I have the version 1 Solo, so this helps with ash removal. Secondly, the adapter can be flipped over on the top of the fire pit and that way when it is covered with a cover it will not puddle on top.

Well made and a good fit for my Solo Bonfire fire pit. This adapter lets me burn fuel pellets instead of regular logs. I use my pit a lot so hope this will last.Update. So far it is holding up but there may be a problem with the newer Solo stoves. I first used this on an original design stove that has a flat inside bottom ash tray, their redesigned stove has a removable ash tray that is slightly domed so this insert does not fit flat, it wobbles a little. It still works, just wanted everyone to know.

This pellet adapter is compatible with the Solo Stove Ranger. It is made of heavy duty metal and it fits nicely. That being said, now I can use the same wood pellets in my Solo Stove Ranger that I use for my wood-pellet grill/smoker.

This off-brand pellet adapter for my Ranger Solo Stove fits perfectly and is very good quality. This is not a lightweight, flimsy piece of metal. It is substantial, hefty - but not unnecessarily heavy. Seems like it will last for a very long time, maybe forever!Giving it 4 stars because the Solo Stove brand pellet adapter is only a few dollars more, so there's not much benefit of purchasing aftermarket. Also, the pellet hole pattern includes small oval holes, not just the small circles like the SS adapter. I haven't ordered the pellets yet to test this out, but it looks like they could fall through these oval/oblong holes. The instructions do say that the varied hole shapes help with airflow, so perhaps it will be a benefit. I will update my review once I've got the pellets and taken this for a test run.
