Ok. I spoke too soon. Pelican stood behind thier product. I decided to submit a warranty claim on thier website, even though the agent said it wouldn't be covered damage. With a couple of pictures and a short description, they've accepted my claim. Drill some holes in the case and write the return# on it, a few more pictures of those, and they're sending me a new case. Only paid the shipping. I'll wait until I've used the case a bit and do another review.Original review: I bought this case to have a new "item" shipped to me. It protected the "item", but couldn't stand up to a single use by the FedEx guys. It cracked along the case corner about 4 inches long in total. The crack runs right through the lid seal and strengthening gussets. Quite a disappointment for a case that costs nearly $300. I spoke with Pelicans' warranty department and they said the damage isn't covered, only manufacture's defects. I suppose that's pretty normal these days, but I'm always heard that these guy's cases were indestructible and they stood behind them. Guess I was wrong about buying "the best", if this can't stand up to FedEx, it's not something I'd trust for rough hunting trip to the back of beyond.

It's possible (in fact likely) that my issue w/ this case is lack of research...The case is super solid. Everything you've heard about the build quality is spot on.My issue is that it won't fit my AR15 and my side arm if they are in my carry bag...nor will it fit my carry bag w/ 2 rifles...Again, a little more research on my part, and I probably would not be in worried about it...I thought if I removed the padding I would be all set, but it's just a little too shallow...Other than that, it's a fantastic case...
