I'm using this pedal on my 18" Gretch bass drum and it's working out really well. Yes, there are better pedals, but they cost more. For the price, I'm not sure this can be beat. I have and use bass drum pedals from Pearl, Ludwig, and DW (as well as a cheap thing from Pulse that I use on a child's size drum set for my young beginning students). I like too that this PDP pedal is light weight, which is what I'm after with using an 18" BD. I also highly recommend using an impact patch (Remo or Evans) to prolong the life of your BD head and improve its tone. I give this pedal a 5-star rating, not because of its performance, but because of the value for the money. Drum on!

I believe that PDP and DW have great reputations for quality in most cases. So I really wish this pedal worked for my specific recording needs. It’s a single chain so a little side to side play on the pedal was expected, especially at this price. My complaints have nothing to do with the feel of the pedal though. It’s a great beginner pedal with the ability to customize beater angle and spring tension, plenty to find your ideal setup. It can fold up quickly, great practice or backup pedal. But it operates so loudly that I can’t record quieter drum parts without it putting its squeaky little imprint all over the tracks. Great pedal for pretty much any other application other than recording. I’m sure I can lather it up in WD40 but I’d rather start out with a pedal that didn’t need that kind of treatment the very first day of use.

Por +/- 1500, esta es la opcion que debes escoger entre todos los pedales del rango de precio que ni marca tienen.PROS:-La posicion del beater es configurable, PERO el pedal no trae mas que una drumkey, asi que si se debes tener tus propias llaves allen.-El tensador del resorte es de metal, y tiene buen rango de tension.-El pedal a pesar de no tener la placa de abajo, pesa lo suficiente para que no se zangolotee cuando tocas.-La respuesta es rapida y 'smooth'.-El footplate tiene bien agarre y el beater de hule que trae es pesado.CONS:-No trae las llaves allen para desarmarlo y cambiar la posicion de la camara.

Quality pedal, would definitely recommend. Just note the included bass drum beater is all plastic, you if you want a felt beater, keep that in mind.
